A basic education is necessary, but college is not for everyone. I say that somewhat reluctantly, because if you can get at least a couple of years, it can make your life better by opening a lot of opportunities and by getting in touch with people who are in your field. College also offers a chance to learn of course, and to  try out new ideas, without jeopardizing a business enterprise.
There are several examples of people who have managed very successful lives with meaningful careers and financial reward without a lot of schooling, but they are pretty rare when compared to the entire population.

yes and no, school teaches responsibility and knowledge, but some people can achieve this other ways.

i agree with the responsability but almost all we learn at school we forget, or we're not gonna use them, so what knowledge are you talking about?

It depends what you mean by 'a successful life.'   You could become a multi-millionaire and have a very unsuccessful life except in that one area.  Success is the progressive realization of a worthwhile ideal.   The achievement of great wealth might be the goal so that you can use it to carry out your 'worthwhile ideal.'

Success needs to cover many areas of your life: how you get on with other people and, just as importantly, how you get on with yourself.  Do you love yourself?  If you don't love yourself you can't love others.  We can only give out what we've got.   Success means you have to feel successful on the 'journey of life.'   Working towards monetary wealth alone is likely to keep you striving thinking that you've never got quite enough.

But to get back to the school question.  Educate yourself: read, write, seek experiences in the world.   You will need to learn to read, and to write.  But once you're 'literate' in that sense, whether you choose to become a conventional academic or simply one who is self-taught is entirely up to you.  Both can help with your success.  But the sustained effort required for success is entirely up to you.

yes, you need to at least study up to age 17 or 18 , you need to know how to speak, get the general knowledge and improve your maths. Then you can venture either to work or further study later
