What is the story around your first name?

Why did one or both of your parents choose your first name?

I do not know. Mom never told me and I never asked. Cecil Kingsley Hutchinson, it is, but I have always used my middle name. I think that he was a man of some substance. There are many Kingsley Avenues, roads, streets ...  in England.

Again there are writers and Actors: Ben Kingsley, Hilliary Kingsley, Charles Kingsley and Kingsley Amis. I've probably heard of five people alive with my name and met two. Not common.

I am also called Manatita in spiritual circles. This one I know and identify with very much. It means 'Beyond The Mind; In The Heart of Our Lord Beloved Supreme.' It was given to me by Sri Chinmoy, my Guruji, in 1989.

Essentially there are two Paths, in a manner of speaking. The mental one of analysis, intellect, separation, isolation, division ....it is still valid, nevertheless. Nothing is without cause or purpose.

The second Path is the one of the Heart, childlike, spontaneous, harmonious...it likes to identify, thinks of 'we' and 'ours' and not 'me' and 'mines' like the mental Path does. So I am basically a child-like Spirit; one of the Heart. This is my Soul's propensity. Everyone has a special quality, you too, my Sweet ThreeKeys.

Mine is Matthew which means, gift from God. That's what my mother always told me. Recently I have come to realize I'm not the gift from God, but rather my mother was the gift from God. I guess sometimes things have a different meaning than you originally thought.

You are a gift Mathew...to me every child that is born comes with love innocence trust and knowing how to love. This "adult" in a newborn body "knows" but has to learn the tools and techniques of this World. That depends on the skill of the parent/s.

Hi Nichol! You know when you mentioned your name was going to be  Nefetaria? I thought of the beautiful Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. Any connection there? Nichol is a great name though.
