Can You Be  Vegan and Also Carry Out Medical Research on Animals?

If you say yes could you explain. If no? could you also elaborate.

I honestly, I would be happier if we carry out experiment on gangsters in prison before we test on animal. In my honest opinion, I see no problem using gangsters as state own slaves, while they are serving their prison sentence, consider the nature of the origanization they contribute to and the sort of crime that has been committed as a result, in my opinion using them as slave while they are serving their sentence is a justified call of saying what they are doing is "repaying their debt to society." Just getting them to, do participate in medical research experiment is still generous, I won't have problem throwing them in an arena and do a TV live broad cast, of gladiator match. (Whoever made it into the grand finals and become the champion get a full pardon, the rest, that died in the championship game or before they can get into the championship game...you are dead bitch!)

Peter Im sorry.. I should have put that question into context.

Recently I was out and came across a guy who briefly mentioned that he was a Vegan (doesnt eat animals/animal products) and that he stll carried out research on animals. That knocked the wind out of me and I couldn't understand how he then could justify/rationalize how he "worked" on the animals. So I wondered what you thought or how you thought this guy could rationalize his situation.

I don't know what the answer is either in terms of how to go about "researching" to support our species in staying alive. But Peter I dont want anyone to be used in "experiments" and that includes those that are incacerated.

Some people are vegan for health, not because he is humane

Being "vegan for health" is called eating a plant-based diet. Veganism isn't a diet; it's a way of living your life without the exploitation of animals. A person who does research with animals is not a vegan.

No. Veganism seeks to exclude, as far as is possible, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

Vegans avoid using any products that are tested on animals. Most ethical vegans would be horrified at that thought of doing research on animals themselves.
