Why nominate a clearly unqualified person as a district court judge? Why?
Matthew Petersen's appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, in which the U.S. District Court nominee failed to answer questions from Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) about basic legal terms and acknowledged that he had never before tried a case. See him struggling @ pic.twitter.com/fphQx2o1rc
The Trump administration has been quietly packing the Federal courts with young nominees who are aligned with their "white and right" agenda, so that even if Trump's hold on the presidency is short, his legacy will live on for decades. These men are not being chosen for their qualifications, but for their youth, their gender, their race, and their politics.
It's no coincidence that this is happening where Trump's policies are constantly being struck down. Can't get rulings that allow you free reign to rob the country blind, and plunder its resources? Pack the courts with judges who are beholden to you, and follow your racist, anti-woman agenda. Problem solved.
When/if Trump gets booted from office, the courts will be fully stocked with Federalist Society, an organization of conservatives and libertarians seeking reform of the current American legal system in accordance with a textualist or originalist interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.
FS Chairman, Calabresi’s explicit coupling of the creation of judgeships with undoing the judicial legacy of Obama belies the real reason under the false neutral justifications.
It’s the comprehensive political capture of an entire branch of government — the judicial equivalent of gerrymandering.
Ptosis
So how well were the district courts doing before Trump. We also an Obama AG that dn under conflict of interest, and James Comey FBI director that didn't know that Intent is not part of the crime of Gross Negligence?
Let's hear from a real expert on the subject instead of being flooded with those who know little to nothing about the subject...

My thought is No, they should go ahead and filibuster Judge Gorsuch now and not wait. The fear of filibustering now is that the Rs might use the "Nuclear Option" - using a simple majority to change Senate rules to eliminate filibustering for Supreme Court nominees; just as Democrats...
