    Greetings Everyone,

I actually just signed up to the site so that I could reply to a great series of articles I found here on the site.

I was attempting to search to see if there was an iPhone app for HubPages, which would be a welcome companion to my writing, as Wordpress, Blogger and my other online sites have apps which I use quite often while away from my desktop. All I’ve managed to find are comments from others to use the desktop version on my phone and/or device as it’s the same thing. Unfortunately it isn’t seeing that there are multiple web browsers out there, for Mac, Windows, Linux, etc and even a higher number of varied versions of these browsers. Not every web surfer has the exact same computer running the exact same version of only one browser, if one was to do the math you could imagine the total of possible combinations. Since they are not all equal, if a site is coded to optimize one browser, it might make another browser act differently and do unwanted things like incorrect formatting & placement of site content. And Yes, before you ask, I used to code & design websites (and by that, makes my point not informational nor entertainment seeing I’m an expert,) Hey those are your rules not mine. LOL

Now to get to the point that I was trying to make, when using the search function my screen completely gets an almost opaque over layer and I was smart enough, being an expert and all, to know to tap the screen to enter my search keywords as there was no visible search box displayed, but I could see where someone new could also encounter this and just give up on using this platform and go elsewhere, or back to what they were using. I just wanted to give the site benefit of the doubt and just thought I’d look into it.

In this day and age sites need all the traffic they can generate to effectively compete with all the other sites in this category. Breaking down and either getting an app designed or doing it themselves adds to the sites apeal and ease of use for their registered members. This stimulates word of mouth, which in turn generates more traffic, which leads to more article views, resulting in bigger checks. I know you all see where I’m going with this one. If there currently isn’t an Official HubPages app all I can ask of the powers that be is to consider it, hell maybe even poll the users which I feel would give the best for/against decision. I can’t really say how much or little I will be using this site yet as it’s only the first night and I have my own checklist of pros/cons to go over but I promise a reasonable and honest trial on my part.

I’d like to say Thanks in advance for any thoughts pro or against by the Higher-Ups, or at least those in charge of such decisions.

Hope everyone is having a great morning/day/evening depending where you are in the world.

    Shawn/DJDG

Yes, you're right in saying there isn't an app out there right now.

I forgot to mention this in my original post, I did find that someone posted something that had a link to an app but when I copied and pasted the link, as it wasn’t a working link although formatted to be just that, into my browser I was directed to the App Store with a message that the app wasn’t available in my country or region. So I tend to think that it obviously couldn’t be an official Hubpage App.

There isn't.  Nor is the web interface fully functional on phones.

I remember there was a HubPages app in the past. I suppose the team stopped supporting it to work on getting the website more mobile friendly. This is speculation on my part but it is what makes the most sense to me. There might be an official response somewhere archived.
