    I can't remember how to file a DMCA. Where do I find the form? I think it used to be attached to the alert on our articles but now it just explains what it is. Someone copy and pasted my article on their website and I've asked them nicely to take it down but they won't.

      Use whois.net to find their webhost. Go to their website and see if there's a way of contacting them. Most have an 'abuse' link. That should take you to a form or email address.

      If the webhost is not available, send it to the registraar. They will often forward the complaint on to the relevant place.

      Then paste this in to the form or email:

      I am writing to you to avail myself of my rights under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This letter is a Notice of Infringement as authorized in ยง512 of the U.S. Copyright Law.

      1. The copyrighted work at issue is the text that appears on:

      [location of your article on HP]

      2. The URLs where my copyrighted material is located include:

      [location of the infringing page]

      3. My contact information is as follows:

      [your full name]
      [your address]

      [email address]

      4. I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above as allegedly infringing is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

      5. I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

      [your full name]

      I would also send it to the site owner if there is a contact address.
