Hello there,
So I got my first featured article but I' m still not getting the traffic I expected. Also, I think there might still be some room for improvement. I could use some help for that.
https://hubpages.com/education/Age-of-Mongols
Where did all of this information come from? You need to provide references.
Even if you improve it and it is moved to Owlcation, you will not get much traffic with that title.
There are some punctuation errors (you need a space after each period). Also, cite your work.
With just one featured article you are not going to get much traffic. You normally need 50 or more. I suggest you take the time to read the guidelines in the learning center and also look at some of the articles written by writers who are doing well here to see what they're writing about and how they are formatting. Those with Hubber scores in the 90's are a good place to start. The learning curve here is huge and takes time, but if you work at it, you can do well. Good luck!
I'm surprised this got past QAP. There are a lot of grammar and punctuation errors - there is always a space after commas, periods etc. The bold facing needs to be removed, and are the images free of copyright restrictions?
Not sure whether you have edited your article but there are still several glaring grammar errors. For example, with capitalization. Names are always capitalized. You shouldn't be using "mongols" within your text.
Use the APA standard for titles too. HP is very particular about this.
Also, mongols are shanties? I think you might have the term wrong there. Shouldn't it be shamanism?
There is always scope for improvement. You can use free Grammarly app to improve the write up for elementary grammar and syntax problems.
Another thing is the page views or traffic is not directly proportional to the quality of the article. The reason is very obvious that there is a lot of data in the internet and based on the keywords used by the searcher it will go to those pages where the keywords match perfectly.
The logic in the search engine is also a factor.
I see that you are a history teacher. That means you will write tons about history. If that is the case, then study SEO for history subjects, hook up with history groups on FB, Pinterest, and other social media.
Also, why the bold words? That is confusion for the reader as well. Do they think to click on it for more information?
Based on the above paragraph, you need to determine your readers. Are the students? Teachers? Other writers? Why would someone want to read this article?
Okay, thanks for the tip. I had used bold words to emphasize on they key points.
Since you state that you are a history teacher, the references are all that much more important. (Do history books where you teach have a little section in the back where they list sources?) You definitely need to reference that "shantie" phrase.

There has been a note on my best performing hub for weeks saying it was going to be edited. I wrote the team multiple times begging them not to touch it. They ignored my requests and are in the process of editing it right now.How do I stop this? I do not want this hub...

Now, I have recently joined this community and I must say some of the articles I've read were wrought with grammatical errors or a strange juxtaposition of word choices. Now, let me make myself clear: I do not think that those hubs that were laden with valuable information were useless or bad...

Hello Hubbers! I'm fairly new to HubPages, I've been here about a week now and love the community so far! Anyway, I was thinking, since we all have the same goal; to make money, get readers and help people, I thought I would make a topic for us all to discuss the best places to post our HubPages...

So after getting fed up with the freelancing website I was working for I started searching around for a new place to write for. So I found Hubpages, and after reading through the user guide (ok I'll admit, I read the first five chapters and skimmed the rest)it looks slightly promising and a little...
