I have added relevant in-test links in my hubs to Amazon products but they always seem to be removed. In a recent hub on crystals I added one in-text link to buy one of teh stones mentioned but it was removed when the hub was chosen for a niche site. The link didn't disrubt the text or reading flow in any way. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong with them so any help would be appreciated. With the earnings drop I was hoping to add the links for another possile source of income.
If you follow theraggededge´s suggestion at this thread you are unlikely to have your link snipped. https://hubpages.com/community/forum/34 … ost4067657
I was just reading your article on obtaining crystals in bulk, and you suggest getting them from a wholesaler or ebay. If you add an Amazon link to an article where you have already told people that you do not get crystals from ebay, I think any editor is going to come along and snip that link.
Thank you, I will look at that. It wasn't that hub I added a link too but I guess saying where I buy in another could have an infulence. Thank you.
If a page is not about a product or products, not sure an Amazon link has any place on it at all.
If readers are searching for a product, Amazon links can be helpful. If readers are searching simply for info, an Amazon link is just one more irritating ad.
That is a good point. My thinking was that if someone was reading my hub and then wanted to buy the crystal mentioned, then a link could be helpful.
HubPages is very specific about Amazon links. You have to have personal experience with the product you are linking to. Just something that's related to your article is not good enough.
You just need a sentence to explain why you like the specific product you're recommending.

I understand the rationale for removing amazon capsules. I'm very careful not to include amazon capsules unless they are 100% relevant, and I can provide a personal opinion. I rarely do more than one per hub.HP is not only snipping amazon capsules on hubs for niche sites, but also just to have a...

Hi all. I have set up Amazon Affiliate program on hubpages and featured Amazon products on a number of my hubs. Looking at it after a while, the link-type report in the Amazon account shows that no one has clicked on the products so far. I wanted to know whether this actually works, so I clicked on...

I'm kinda pissed and extremely dismayed. I've been with Hubpages and Amazon Associates for 5 years now and haven't made a dime with Amazon the entire time. I've reached out for help numerous times and not a single person told me that I have to get my Amazon links from the Amazon Associates website...

Why is it that excessive links to Amazon products seem to be permitted when they are added to the body of hub rather than as a Module on the side? In my naivety, I did not realise that this was permitted. Will these links survive when hubs are selected and moved to the niche sites?

I have always added my Products via a keyword search but I have been asked to add a couple of products via links instead. I am not sure whether my being in the UK makes a difference but should I be adding links from Amazon.com or from Amazon UK? I know that most of my traffic still...

I think I missed something here but have recently seen some discussions about in-text Amazon links v Capsules. How do you put in text links in, is there a special way? Do I just get the link that I get from Amazon when I go on there and choose the product? Or does this only work for people who have...
