Did any of you see the Maven newsletter? The headlines are not impressive, but there is information on keywords and traffic including a Maven SEO Training Module and other SEO guides. Any thoughts?

I worry more about the fact that this public company hasn't issued a quarterly financial statement in more than six months.

Thanks for this thread. Like with others here, mine went to spam and I'd have never known.

I skimmed it while filling up at the gas station (self-serve is illegal in NJ).  Didn't see anything exciting.  What I would really like to know is how the hubbers who moved to Maven site are doing.  And there was nothing about Dengarden being moved to Maven or at least showing up in the search for gardening.  That surprised me last week.  I periodically search the site to see if they have any gardening mavens.  This time, Dengarden showed up.

OldRoses, You sparked my interest in DenGarden being apart of Maven. I checked it out there is a DenGarden with three subdivisions: DIY Home, Green Thumb Gardening, and Landscape Tips.

I took a quick look at it, that SEO jibba jabba makes my head hurt, so I was pretty much like "ehh, whatever"

I got it too in my mail inbox today, but never signed up for anything as far as I know. Haven't read it yet, too busy with other things. I know next to nothing about SEO anyway.

Head hurting is not good when it's audio.

It's actually audio. It's an hour and I listened to around 30 minutes of it. Robin talks about some really good points, all of it is covered in my Hubpages SEO guide in my opinion, but hearing her talk about it and explain it is definitely the better way to learn the right techniques and hear about how they actually do the editing. I'll continue the rest tomorrow, but right now I'm working on a new hub, just got the motivation to work on one. Thanks, Robin for reminding me to look at what's already working smile

Just saw it, thanks to your forum post, Kenna. It was in my junkmail so I deleted it earlier today. I put Maven in my address book so I'll get them now. I scanned through, didn't see anything exciting. So, am I a Maven now? hmm Or maybe a Haven? No, maybe a Mubber. I'm sleepy, goodnight, Habbermuvens.

I, too, found that email in my spam folder!  However, upon retrieving and reading it, I found this paragraph:

    "HubPages Update
Thanks to all who responded to our recent poetry/short fiction contest. We chose five of the most creative and powerful to be featured on the LetterPile and HubPages Facebook pages, Instagram and in the HubPages Weekly newsletter. Look for them over the next five weeks, starting this week."

The section I've underlined here was a link.  When I clicked on it, my virus checker popped up and said,

    "Suspicious link
This link leads to an untrusted site. Are you sure you want to proceed to maven.us19.list-manage.com?"  I declined to continue.

WTH???  Maven is an "untrusted site?"  But then, I haven't had a good feeling about this whole takeover thing from day one...
