Just want to make sure I am understanding correctly, so that I don't get myself into trouble.  If I create a facebook author page, is it okay to post the articles I created on hubpages there?  Are there any legalities I should be aware of?  Does anyone have any advise on creating a facebook author page?  Thank you!

I created a page separate from my personal FB page to use to post my hubs plus other articles from around the web about gardening.  I also have a third FB page where I post articles from my website and other articles on the same topic from around the web.

          Hi Amanda
I guess there should not be any problem by sharing your article on fb pages as that is totally separate.

You can share your article anywhere on any social media page. Let me tell you though, I don't think an author's page is a good idea at all. For getting traffic from Facebook, you need to share your articles in Facebook groups which are about something similar to what each individual article is about.

You write about food, there are hundreds and hundreds of food groups on Facebook you could join. You write about politics, there could be MILLIONS of politics groups on Facebook you could join. So forth, and so on.

There are probably hundreds of groups for writers, but I'd not think those good. You want groups which are relative to whatever you write about.

Looking at your profile, you should consider traditional lifestyle groups as well, or any sort of 'off grid' groups.

So I'll tell you about me. I would write things about guitars and guitar players, okay? There are hundreds and hundreds more groups about just guitars, and then massive amounts of groups about different kinds of music. I would join all of them. I'd be in hundreds of groups.

So when I publish something. I wait until it is approved, and the ads are on it (so I can make money from the dang thing) - then I would share it in each of however many groups I could.

I'd be respectful. I'm not sharing a country guitar thing in a rock and roll group. And I would write a nice header or intro for the link and maybe customize it for the group.

I'd get a LOT of traffic over the course of a few days, but then it would fall off considerably. Some folks consider sharing to social media a waste of time, but I would do it anyway.

Is it safe? What if no one clicks the link of the article I share on Facebook what will happen? Tell me please if there is any violation with that. Thank you.

Please wait until your article is featured before you share it on Facebook. Otherwise, it won't display correctly. There is no violation if your article doesn't receive any clicks.

Thank you so much. By the way, the good news is my first blog is finally featured!

That is a great response, thank you!  So, could I perhaps create an author page (because I don't want to use my personal fb page), and then join groups from that page?  Then I would have a professional and separate fb page to place my articles on.  Am I making sense?

Yes you can do that. Don't expect too much from it though. Like Wesman said, you might get readers for a short time, but then it stops. Your main goal should be to get visitors from Google, they bring in the money.

If you can join groups from a page you create, then it's just something I've not seen before. I don't know if you can do that, or not.

I would just make another Facebook account. At one time I had 4 Facebook accounts. It's not a big deal at all. A huge lot of people I know, and have known for years have several Facebook accounts.

You need to have one of the best articles on the topic when people search for it to get in on the first page of Google, preferably in the first or second spot on the first page. So write about what you know best, and the title is really important. Look up similar articles and see how you can find a more interesting title. Be concise, but accurate.

A different FB account than your personal one is a better idea. But don't expect a lot of traffic from social media. It's Google traffic you need to make money, so concentrate on writing the best you can. Good luck!

Wesman Todd Shaw is right; sharing your articles in groups would work way better than sharing on your author page, unless you already have a huge following, which is unlikely, considering it'd still be a new page.

There are tons of groups that allow members to share links, so long as said members engage in the community.
