Hi everyone I did a little browsing before deciding to ask but didn't find a post so here I am asking. How long before a newly published and featured article shows up on search engines?
Asking out of curiosity as my newest article could be the first to list most of the cast, specially the foreign actors of a new tv series featuring a renowned on and off-cam couple back in my homeland. And although I'm thrilled that it got featured, I literally jumped for joy seeing it featured, I don't know how long it takes for an article before it shows up on search results.
Thank you in advance.
It usually takes about four days to a week from publishing.
Copy the URL of the article from the top of the page in HubPages and paste it into the search box of e.g. Google, Bing, Yahoo (not the URL panel at the top of your browser which will just end up displaying your article). If the article turns up in SERPs, Google knows about it. Whether the article ranks highly though is another matter. Try searching the first few consecutive words from your title and see if it appears, but if it doesn't maybe 4 or 5 consecutive words. (under "settings" on a search results page in Google, you can change the number of results. By default I think it's 10, but you can increase this to 100). If and when your article is moved to a niche site, it should rank higher in searches.
Thank you so much for responding. And I learned something new too. I just did, I copied the URL and posted it into Google's search box and it shows up second, not directly goes to my article though but to 'Soap Opera' category here on Hubpages and showing third. It doesn't appear though when I searched for it using keywords or the title. And it's only been 2 days since it was published so it will really take time I guess. I'll try again on the fourth day to a week.
Thank you again for the response.

I thought if a hubpage was listed in Google search it was featured. But apparently that is not the truth. I guess I will keep the hubs up and run my own check on them.

I'm in the process of migrating my content from my blog to HubPages and just transferred an article titled "Top 50 Men's Grooming Blogs for 2014." I just switched this article to HubPages a few moments ago (using a 301 redirect). I'm already on the first page of google for the key term...

Just curious if anyone can shed some light on this issue. I published a very large article on New Year's Day, intended to be a New Year's special, and almost three full months later, nobody is able to find my article anywhere online still. I'd put so much effort into the article in question, it's a...

Hello all,I published a new article "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In: The Complete Series Box Set-DVD Review" over the weekend, and don't see it listed in Google, Yahoo, and Bing search engines. My past articles have been in the search engines fairly fast. Any idea why the article...

When I click on their stats, it says under 'search phrases,' no search terms to add.(list of words that appear commonly in searches that bring visitors to your hub.)It seems that all my hubs need...

Something strange is going on. I have a hub that's been doing really well for years. It was hub-pro edited a couple of months ago and traffic increased by a couple hundred a day. Over the last week or so it's hovered around 750 per day. Overall it has almost half a million views.Today, views are...
