This morning's stock market major correction should be a trigger for our President to give a speech to the people. In this uncertain times, with the coronavirus outbreak and economic uncertainties worldwide,
This is one of those rare moments in politics.
Roosevelt after Pearl harbor, Bush after 9/11 all rose to the occasion.
Trump is the president at this moment. It is time for him to give a serious talk to the American people. It could be one of those uniting moment. Put the partisanship aside. We are all in the same boat. This health crisis is serious but it cannot defeat us. It is no time to panic. Just like after 9/11, we cannot stay home. That is what will give the terrorists a win. We all understood that. The same goes here. We cannot allow the virus to win. We need to carryon our daily lives as best as we can.
That is the message. We can all be prudent and wash our hands and avoid large crowded areas...but we need to carry on. Go to work, and be around with families and loved ones and live our life to the full potential God as given us.
Its the perfect storm... China wittingly or not has started a panic in the markets with C virus, which has a fatality rate under 1% and essentially is no more of a risk than getting the Norovirus (which was no fun to have) or any of its kin.
Personally I think China considered this a great excuse to cause a panic, to cover up their economic crisis caused largely by Trump's pressure and the world reaching a saturation point for goods (how many cell phones and gadgets does a person need?)...
This allowed them to crack down on their own people, particularly Hong Kong, whose story has now slipped into the back-pages of the news as everyone panics over something no more dangerous than the flu.
And now... though not being heavily reported in the news, OPEC has failed to reach terms with Russia and other nations, Saudi stating it was going to ramp up production, Russia will do the same, and the price of oil plummeted on the news 33% in one day.
When oil reaches $20 a barrel, which it has, the Petrodollar economic system which the world has operated on for the last half century is at the collapse point.
In other words, this could be the beginning of the end of the global financial system that has operated with the American dollar being its reserve for the last 75 years.
If this proves out, it doesn't make a difference what Trump or anyone else says, we are heading to a global recession and the resultant pain will lead to the collapse of the American economy, or a sustained global war to crush China and its allies and eliminate its Industrial capabilities.
Of course... it probably won't be that dire... except for the people who over-react and sell off their stocks at a major loss, or spend thousands on supplies prepping for 'end times'. Time will tell.
Interesting theory, but I don't think China is stupid enough to do this on purpose. Chinese are pragmatic for the most part. They will not sacrifice their growing wealth and influence by creating this panic. The more likely scenario is they were caught blindsided and at first try to under play this and contain it. Once it spread outside of China, it is hard to control.
The other fact to keep in mind is China is a communist country. They don't value human life as we Americans. To them, a few million deaths is nothing to get excited over. Our over reaction to this is causing some of the economic distress. It too shall pass. I am not seeing this as armageddon.
Your worst case scenario skills are pretty fantastic. It seems like no matter what the typically nonsensical crisis of the day is, you can say, "oh yeah, well here is what is really going on, and here's how it could play out."
You should probably do a Youtube channel talking about these sorts of things. We all know this written page thing is only profitable for things which are long term material.
But Youtube? Oh man. I bet more people watch Tim Pool than CNN.

How can Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize when his is constantly working at dividing his own country? Ever since he was elected president, he has constantly called the Main Stream Media the "Fake News." No modern American president has publicly spoken this way about the press....

To Obama, I'd say to be more engaged and show a little more passion. Act like you WANT to be POTUS for 4 more years. To Romney, I'd say, "Calm down!" I thought he did a good job in the last debate, but at times, he seemed almost manic. I'd also tell both to be completely truthful, but that...

I wonder what President Trump's supporters think of him now.1. He's raised tariffs to an unprecedented level (formerly protectionism was something Democrats always wanted) and is damaging average Americans and business with it by raising costs on an assortment of goods and also negating any effect...

It has been under reported by MSM, but Donald Trump has always supported the LGBT community. Some of Trump's greatest online supporters are members of the LGBT, and are activist. At one of his yuge rallies, Trump was given a rainbow flag by some of his supporters at the rally. ...
