I wrote a poem, I don't know how to approach title/subtitle issue

    This is the poem I am asking about: https://hubpages.com/literature/Mercy-the-Mockingbird

    The page is titled the same as the poem. I have never written a poem here before. I named the page before I even realized that a poem usually has its title right above it. So now to have the title above the poem, it's titled twice. Doh. For now I am going to go in and tack extra stuff into the page title, to provide some difference at least. Other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    PS, so page title and subtitle are no longer precisely the same, but I'm still hoping to get advice on what approach to take in future, or what improvements to make with this one, now.

      I add extra information to my poetry articles, as you have done, and make sure that the subtitle isn't identical to the title. I try not to "tack extra stuff" into the article, though. I think that any prose added to an article containing a poem should be meaningful on its own.

    Interesting point, and I largely agree with you. I am going to keep a close eye on it and see if it needs a rewrite in that sense.

    Tbh, I don't believe this piece would be as entertaining without the lead in. I don't think it would survive if I'd delete that part. This is why I will observe for now... kind of hoping that I am wrong. Lol...
