Hello, I've been a HubPages writer for over 10 years, and a week ago the Edit button has disappeared from the dashboard on all my articles.
I have two browsers and it's missing on both.
I haven't done anything abnormal my end.
My articles are published normally, and are not under review.
The Edit button, usually the first one on the left in the dashboard is nowhere to be seen, making it impossible to update and maintain my work.
Could staff confirm if this is a 'known issue' or a change in editing workflow?
Other writers have mentioned similar problems, so it seems to be a platform side issue, rather than a local one.

    Thank you for your help.
    Jack.

TAG (The Arena Group) no longer allows writers to edit their HP articles. TAG is rolling up the platform. You should have received an email. And here's the staff post in the forum.

Hi Kenna, Just saw your kind response - thank you. After looking at the staff post, which I never received, either by personal email, or whether it was posted in the help forum, which I've never accessed until today, so I can't say. The 19th of November (4 days ago) was when I tried to do some editing and found the edit button missing. I must say, it's not an honourable way to suddenly stop a service that I've relied on for all those years - it says a lot about their ethics and character, even less about their management principals. I think I'll be looking at another platform for my articles.

I never received a notice either. The edit button went missing in the middle of my editing. I discovered that Hubpages writing was ending while recently viewing the posts on this timeline which I don't view often. I figured they were in trouble when they stooped to placing inappropriate click bait article suggestions on the articles and for that reason I was already considering moving elsewhere. I just wish I had known about the edit function being removed so soon so I could save all my images and articles together. I can only download the images in edit mode. I got about seven of them done then poof it was gone. I have since deleted my articles for the sake of not losing control over them once I lose all access to them in February. I already had a sketchy situation happen when they shut down Niche site access.

I will miss this platform immensely. It once was the best place to author online. The formatting was easy which allowed me to focus on writing rather than mechanics. Also, my lessons received more exposure than they would have anywhere else for a time. Mostly, I will greatly miss the supportive writing community on this platform.

          Best wishes

Hi Tammy, Like you, I also enjoyed writing for over 10 years on HubPages and because of their lack of ethics - not contacting me, it really shows their true character, not to even mention their management principals. So now I'm investigating looking at posting on another platform, possibly Faith Writers. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
            Best regards,
            Jack.
