How long did it take before you to made your first amazon sale on hub pages? 4 months? 1 year? Curious.
I haven't so much as made a penny on Amazon! I haven't even had anything register with them as far as "clicks." Which I find very hard to believe seeing how I did a series of 10 "great gift ideas for Christmas" that each list at least 50 links to amazon products, and the sites are getting very good traffic. Plus I have amazon links on some of my other hubs. I am starting to wonder if Amazon isn't scamming somehow. My great gift idea articles alone have had over 400 views...you can't tell me out of 400+ views, and each view showing anywhere from 50=150 of amazons gift type products, I didn't get not one click? Something is fishy to me.
I have yet to score but then again i only have 2 hubs and have only been with you peeps for about a week. Truth is im only posting this quote to see if it registers as a post.
Just a couple of weeks actually , but then thats the only one so far I made a dollar and fourteen cents though , now I just need about 20 or so of them a day and I'l be happy happy
i published my first hub on July 8 and made my first Amazon sale on October 1. i have been selling one Amazon item a day since December 1st.
Only been using Amazon for 3 days and nothing so far. I'm guessing it will be a while before my first.
It took me about 3 months and then all of a sudden, it started to snowball.
I've decided it does take a little time. I'm into my thrid week. Got about $3.50 so far and no sales yet. Hope it'll come. Most of what I hub is humorous. Might not be the best topics but the most enjoyable. Not planning on getting rich anyway.
It took about 6 weeks to see my first sale on Amazon after writing my first hub. That was followed by another sale 2 weeks later and things have been picking up since then. However, those first few hubs were pretty bad and poorly monetized, if at all. I'm still not where I want to be but I am still learning how to monetize my hubs effectively and find items that people really want to buy.
That, of course, is one major key to success. You can write a great hub with plenty of Amazon (or other) affiliate links but if it isn't about something that sells it is all for nothing. Be patient, write quality hubs on topics or products of real interest and the income will come. Good luck!
I've yet to sale anything on Amazon yet.... so I've no idea
I've only got 12 Amazon-focused hubs, but they started making money within a week or two. And they do still generate income for me just about every day.
I'm actually unsure how many Amazon hubs I have. I know it's not many. Anyway - I wrote a few and went back to what I know. Then Nelle offered some advice and so I began writing more.
I don't know if it's how I've written them - I purposely sit ads at the top, then Amazon underneath - or what but I've begun to earn money from them.
I'd like to say it's a Christmas thing but I'm unsure. I'm not selling stuff I'd consider as gifts. Or at least not regular festive fayre anyway.
I haven't made any yet, still I'm hopeful...thanks for the reply fellow hubbers!
My first Amazon Sale was about 4 weeks after I wrote my first hub and it was actually not from a product on my hub but from three books, not related to my subject, that the reader purchased from Amazon. Since then I have made very few sales but then again I do more informative hubs than sales hubs.
Good luck
I think it only took 10 or so days to make my first sale. I got lucky and hope to ride the wave of success after sale #1.
Now the sucker just needs to ship!
To be honest I have no idea. My partner takes care of the Amazon account but I see sales on our spreadsheet on almost a daily basis which is pretty good for the little effort I put into it.

I got my first amazon sale yesterday in over a year! I earned 79 cents! Yee haw! At least I know now they haven't shut down my account! It's wacky that I'm excited over a few cents but there you have it.

I was wondering if all of you think Hubpages is going to disappear? The traffic is not what it used to be and earnings are quite meager. For me the decline began in the middle of the pandemic...but improved a bit after time. Now it seems traffic has become worse daily and Hubpages has eliminated...

In many previous forum posts there have been people who have given up hope with their Ebay and Amazon capsules on their hubpages, because they don't earn any money from them, some have even removed the capsules from their hubs. I don't really make much money from either but I keep the capsules on...
