Again with these stupid forums? If you feel so strongly about it put your crap in a hub and leave us alone! WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT WALMART GET OVER YOURSELF!!!!

Or more specifically, some of us care very much, but we already had a long thread about this. I mean, you got far more responses than I've seen on many other topics on that thread. Find something else to do (about this matter, or something else

How many threads are you going to start about this?  Seriously.  You have tons of hubs.  Leave it in a hub and let people comment there.  Maybe you'll even earn a few bucks.  It's a waste to keep posting it here in the forums, don't you think?

    Crazdwriter

    1. The Forums are places for Open Discussion
    2. Since when do you speak on behalf of ALL the people?
    3. Clearly your words are an indication of your complete ignorance

If you want to attack me then do it. But before you start you may want to educate yourself about Politics and the Economy.

Walmart is a drain on America. Walmart supports Red China. Walmart costs Americans Jobs.

And the very ignorant people who can not see the drain are the people who will continue to buy Chinese Crap at their own peril.

Fortunately for the Ignorant there is the Constitution of the United States of America to protect them because they are clearly not educated enough to do it for themselves.

And I can see you buy your clothes at Walmart.

It is not a waste to educate the ignorant. If you want to put your head in the sand then do it.

The reason 1 in 6 are unemployed is due to ignorance.

Writing three threads in one weekend on the same topic is freaking stupid. Like I say, it might be different if we didn't already slog this out over several pages before -- but it's been done now. You didn't even participate on that thread yourself! What's the deal with that????

Blah blah blah blah is all I hear from you. Wal MArt may be a drain but then why do so many AMERICANS work there? Go write a hub instead of posting this in the forums. you've already posted the SAME thing two other times and it's pathetic that you can't get off your soap box about the SAME topic.

And ignornace has NOTHING to do with being unemployed as I am unemployed its called an economy that isn't doing good and people having to be let go. Get your facts straight.

Once again you show your ignorance of how the Economy Operates.

The Average Pay of a Walmart Job is less than $12 per hour

    http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Emp … ourly_Rate

In 2008, the average full time Associate (34 hours per week) earns $10.84 hourly for an annual income of $19,165. That’s $2,000 below the Federal Poverty Line for a family of four. [http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/08poverty.shtml]

Those are some mighty good jobs.

As of 2008, a full time Wal-Mart Associates earns 16% less than the average retail wage. [http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t16.htm]

Wal-Mart reports that its health insurance covers only 50.2% of their employees. Wal-Mart has nearly 1.4 million US employees. [UFCW analysis of Wal-Mart health plan, March 2008]

In 21 of 23 states where data is available, Wal-Mart forces more employees to rely on taxpayer-funded health care than any other employer. ["Disclosures of Employers Whose Workers and Their Dependents are Using State Health Insurance Programs, Good Jobs First, June 26, 2007]

A 2004 estimate by the U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce found that Wal-Mart's low wages cost taxpayers up to $2.5 billion a year in the form of federal public assistance programs. ["Everyday Low Wages: The Hidden Price We All Pay for Wal-Mart," A Report by the Democratic Staff of the Committee on Education and the Workforce]

Through a loophole in many state tax codes, Wal-Mart avoided paying $2.3 billion in state income taxes between 1999 and 2005 alone. ["New Research Shows Wal-Mart Rigs the System to Skip Out on $2.3 Billion in State Taxes," Citizens for Tax Justice, 4/16/07]

The average wage for retail workers is 10% lower than it would have been without Wal-Mart's presence. [Arindrajit Dube, T. William Lester, and Barry Eidlin, "A Downward Push: The Impact of Wal-Mart Stores on Retail Wages and Benefits," 2007]

n October 2004, the United States Federal Government sued Wal-Mart for violating the Clean Water Act in 9 states, calling for penalties of over $3 million and changes to its building codes. ["Wal-Mart II Storm Water Settlement," EPA, 12 May 2004]

And the Ignorant just keep supporting Communism.

    Whoa...

I don't want to...um...add fuel to a fire, but while I wouldn't exactly express it the same way, I think Mike has a point.

I've seen Wal-Mart push out local mom-n-pop stores. I've seen some of the abuse they put people through.

However; here's my question: many many people are poor, if there *is* a Wal-Mart in town, a person's ideals and desires might be in one place, but their wallet another...what do *you* propose these people do to put food on their table, clothe their children, make home improvements...etc? How do they break the cycle and put the money back where it belongs?

It's easy to be upset about the problems and just point them out...but if we feel so strongly about it...what can we think of for solutions?
