My friend has this virus in her computer called Windows Advanced Security Center. Her program that protects her computer says that there is nothing in her computer besides the virus. Also the virus says that she has 29 viruses, but the virus is the Windows Advanced Security Center. Its complicated. If you need more details please ask. Thanks!

Install AVG Linky here ~ http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage
Or you could fork out for some if AVG doesnt do the trick.

It might also be helpful to have a cleaner for your computer. One that can clean out registry files, after the uninstall is completed.

Many programs leave sections/pieces of themselves in the registry files. Virus' like to attach and hide in registry back up files.

Especially on Windows driven computers, because of the restore files.

Edit: I personally use AVG free edition. Haven't encountered a virus it hasn't been able to detect or eliminate/remove. smile

I use AVG free too and never had any trouble.
BTW, was speaking to some folk today (offline LOL) and they said there is a virus in Farmville - if you open a package or something you get it - I've never used Farmville, but it seems you get gift-wrapped packages??
Just a warning to anyone who uses Farmville.

I've got both AVG and Malwarebytes. I use the latter more for getting rid of spyware, because the free version of AVG doesn'tdo that.
Oh and it's the free version of Malwarebytes I use.
      OK I know I'm a cheapskate! smile
