Question for you. Did you bother to look for other threads that had this type of topic?

It is apparent that you didn't, before you opened this thread.

Either way, your Hub score is irrelevant and not to worry about.

Hubscores fluctuate all the time so I really would not worry about if too much unless it takes a sudden drastic plunge and stays there.

Concentrate on writing good quality hubs and you will find that your hubscore gradually climbs up, although it will always fluctuate.

It fluctuates all the time, depending on the traffic you get. If it's just 'internal traffic' (i.e from HP) then your score will probably fall once the initial interest in it has lessened.

On the other hand, if it's 'external' traffic (and your hubs have been key word optimized etc) then the hubscore often stays high as long as it keeps getting steady traffic...(although  this too is dependent on the content of your hubs, i.e. if they're 'news' related, the hubscore will probably fall anyway with time); Just know it hardly ever stays the same.

Thank you. I understand the importance of external traffic.

Oh sure MOW.  Sounds like you're quoting the party line there lady.  Don't think we haven't noticed that the lovely ladies with the great avatars get the high 90s while us guys never quite make the grade.  Its all in how ya look.  I'm gonna grow a beard and wear an eye patch.  Become a little more interesting.

lol..toby, c'mon now...that's my present pic I'm using, no effects etc...I didn't put it up to get more traffic, just that's who I am.....is that such a bad thing?  neutral

(I hope you were not serious....)

I've got to the point where I don't even look at the score.  I bounce from mid 90s to low 80s almost on a daily basis.  If it were my pulse I'd see a doctor.  smile

yes, gravity try not to think too much about it.....just focus on making your hubs the best you can...i.e. original, well written/well presented hubs..plus read on back linking, keywords etc...and how you can improve your traffic through them. Best of luck! smile

tongue big_smile Same here...I don't bother much on score (I used to) as long as it doesn't stay below 75.

Hubscore also depends on your activity here on hubpages. I noticed over the christmas holiday when I didn't use hubpages much and my score dropped from mid 90's into the 80's.

Also hubscore depends on if your hubs have a few photos, even a video and at least 300 to 400 words. If you have covered the words then you need some photos, links etc to make your hub interesting.

Also your Hubscore does not reflect how much money you are earning - the top earners might not neccesarily have the highest Hubscores!
