   This and just who was Deep Throat have bothered me for years. And just with the revelation of who Deep Throat was - I am again disappointed. The inspiration was David Geffen. Does anyone know that name off the top of their head?

   I am very impressed. Yes he was. Apparently he treated another singer better than Simon at some point in her career and that's what the song was about.

         rumors speculated either Jagger, James Taylor, Warren Beatty.

    but anyway deep throat was the guy from the newspaper that exposed Nixon for what every president since heavens knows when had been doing for many many yrs....Im not justifying (even if I did vote for nixon....twice)   im just saying is all
    
    and david geffen? gross...he loved beautiful and talented and well know artists and singers on his arms of course
    (in public)
    but he was a man who walked another way in the romm behind closed doors...ugh cool song though
