Decker's Security Badge stumped many players, and was the last to be found. To find his badge, you must first access a hidden room. Once in this room, you will have a limited time to search for the badge before you are forced to escape a moving wall. Searching for the badge involves shooting at the ground and trying to get lucky.

Needed:

  • Power to The Exo Testing and Administration Area
  • At least 600 Credits
  • A gun with lots of ammo (EM1 preferred)

The Steps:

  1. Access The Infirmary
  2. Search For The Badge

You can use either Trash Chute to access the infirmary.

Step 1: Access The Infirmary

The Infirmary can be accessed through the Trash Chute, which will only operate if the power is turned on in both the Administration Area and the Exo Testing Area.

You will need to buy the Trash Chute twice, which increases in price. The first use is 100 credits and the second is 500 credits.

Steps For Entering The Infirmary (Method 1)

  1. Approach a Trash Chute and Activate it
  2. Step back before you enter the Chute, allowing the gas to escape
  3. Instantly go back to the chute and purchase it again, this time staying close enough to enter the chute

Steps For Entering The Infirmary (Method 2)

  1. Approach a Trash Chute and Activate it
  2. Take the Chute to the next location
  3. Instantly access the Trash Chute again

This only works if you access the chute before it has time to build up gas. This will become expensive if done incorrectly, the third use in a single round will cost you 2000 credits.

Infirmary Layout And Search Area

The Infirmary is a single room with three stationary walls and one wall that slowly closes in, Indiana Jones style. There are four trash chutes against the wall opposite of the moving wall. A ditch runs in the center of the floor, from the moving wall to the trash chute wall.

For the purposes of this guide, we will separate the room into two sectors. If facing the trash chutes, sector 1 will be the area to the right of the ditch and sector 2 will be on the left of the ditch. The badge can spawn in either of these two sectors, but will appear near the center (between the ditch and the wall) anywhere along the path that is being reduced by the moving wall.

The EM1 is the best gun to use for this task.

Step 2: Searching For The Badge

You will only be able to search one sector (see section above) during a trip before being forced to escape through a trash chute. Start by facing the moving wall in one of the two sectors, and slowly moving backwards. Shoot the ground in the center of the sector in a diagonal fashion, as if you were making a never-ending w. While shooting and moving backwards, repeatedly press your action button.

Using The EM1

Your action button is also your reload button, which will cause you to continuously make the reloading action. This issue is resolved buy using the EM1, which does not reload. It also provides a continuous stream, which improves your chances of hitting the right spot.

Finding The Badge

If playing as Decker, he will say something about normally being more organized when he finds the badge. Other than that, there is very little indication when the badge has been found. Watch your security level on your character badge at the lower left hand corner of your HUD. It will increase by one when the badge is found.

  • It is common to need to repeat this action for several trips before being successful.
  • The cost of the trash chute goes up each time you use it during a round. The price returns to 100 credits at the beginning of the next round.
