The mystery Disney project from famed game designer Warren Spector is on its way!  In what is sure to be one of the top Wii titles of the year, players take control of the world famous mouse in Epic Mickey.  Featuring a surprisingly robust system for what might otherwise be a simple kids game, Epic Mickey features a world that will actually change depending on how you play the game.

In this game, Mickey has a magical paintbrush and is trying to undue the evil that has been inflicted on his world. Your drawings will have an effect on the world!  Featuring unique a unique Wii control system and amazing gameplay, this will be the game to get for the Nintendo Wii in 2010.

Kirby's Epic Yarn

The newest Kirby game and the first real Kirby platformer on a next gen system, Kirby's Epic Yarn was a hit during the 2010 E3.  Almost too cute for words, this highly anticipated Nintendo Wii game is going to wow kids and adults alike.

In a world knit out of yarn, Kirby explores, floats, and changes shape to have amazing adventures.  This beautiful game features one of a kind graphics and an out of this world art style.  Parents and children will love this good-natured, super-fun new Wii game.

Gamers have been waiting with bated breath for Team Ninja's take on this classic series.  Now available for Christmas, Metroid: Other M is going to be an exciting new take on a series with a twenty year history.  Gamers get to learn all about the enigmatic Samus Aran's past while experiencing brand new weapons, levels, and enemies.

Players can play in both 1st and 3rd person, making this game both a shooter AND a platformer.  Just like in previous Metroid games, players have to put their noggins to the test while exploring sci-fi environments and blasting beasties.  Solve puzzles, brave dangerous locales, and explore foreign lands.  What more could you want?

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Really, when it comes to video games, it doesn't get much better than the Super Mario series. Super Mario Galaxy 2 isn't just one of the top new Nintendo Wii games of 2010, but simply one of the best games. You might have noticed I listed the original as one of the top games of the past ten years. Well, Mario Galaxy 2 has everything that made the original great, plus so much more.

Play as Yoshi! Clever new levels! Classic music! Pure joy. Simply pure joy. This game is suitable for all ages, is super fun, and has hours and hours of gameplay on one disc. I can't recommend this enough. Even surly teenagers will get a kick out of this one.

And if you enjoyed Mario Galaxy, try out New Super Mario BrothersNSMB features classic 2D, sidescrolling gameplay for up to 4 players.  It is a great party game to bring the family closer together over the holidays.

Donkey Kong Country Returns

The classic Super Nintendo series is revitalized in this new installment to the franchise.  The eagerly anticipated new Nintendo Wii title will feature two player, co-op gameplay and all of the old school platforming action you can handle. Play as Donkey or Diddy Kong in a fantastic jungle landscape.  Throw barrels, grab bananas, fly your jetpack, and work with a friend to make it to the end.

Easy to play but full of secrets, this is a great game to while away the hours over winter break.  Make DKCR the newest edition to your Nintendo Wii library.

Madden 11

Some things are just facts: the sun will shine, politicians will lie, and the newest Madden football game will be one of the most highly anticipated videogames of that year.  2010 is no different: gamers are sure to flock to the most popular sports series ever.

Manage your team all the way to the Super Bowl in this amazing new football game.  No matter who they root for, the football fan in your life would love to see this title under the tree come Christmas time.

Music Games: Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero

Music can make a huge impact on anyone's lives.  Both kids and adults have much to gain from including musicality into their every day habits.  That's why games like Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero are so important. They instill in gamers the drive to practice and master a musical instrument.

In fact, Rock Band 3 takes it to the next level.  Players can actually buy real versions of rock instruments and have the game teach them to play.  That's right: you can play Rock Band with a guitar that has real strings. And it will sit you down and teach you how to play your favorite rock and roll songs? How cool is THAT?  Also new with RB3 is a keyboard that will teach real piano skills.  New instruments are sold separately from the game.

And of course, there's the grand daddy of rock games: Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is the latest edition of the classic series.  The newest title has over 90 songs sure to get the family singing, dancin', and banging on some plastic drums.
