My son just bought a used game and when he started playing it there was a game with over 70 hours already played. How can a game cartridge save information on it. I thought only the DS itself could save.
The DS Game Card itself has some internal memory, flash or EEPROM. The DS system itself writes the information to be retained on the game card. As long as nothing messes up the internals of the card, the information stays safe.
