Borderlands 2 Destroy the Badass Constructor Before the Bunker

In Borderlands 2, the badass constructor is the main boss that lies between the vault hunter and the interior of the bunker. The hero has to get past the enemies that surround and protect the badass constructor. Then he must use a variety of methods to deplete the very tough armor of the Badass Constructor. Sometimes, the badass constructor will put up shields if given enough time. This will guide the hero on how to get past the armor of the badass constructor and defeat the badass constructor.

Get to the Inner Gate Outside the Bunker

From Slab Town and No Man's Land, head up to and defeat the first constructor and then get past the gate onto the road and then into the inner gate before the bunker. Here the hero will be subjected to mortar attacks. Just run and jump out of the way until the hero is at the inner gate. At this gate, the hero will be attacked by Hyperion soldiers and loaders. Defeat them and head past the inner gate into the area outside the bunker.

Tactics to Defeat the Badass Constructor

Before entering the inner gate, the hero needs to load up on rocket launchers, corrosive weapons and ammunition the weapons use. Simply get the most powerful rocket launcher, and the most damaging and corrosive weapons possible and get as much ammunition as possible. Numbers suggested include at least 12 rockets (use eridium to buy more slots), and close to 100 sniper ammunition slots.

Clear the area of mobs that precede the arrival of the Badass Constructor. Then with a bang in the sky, the badass constructor arrives. Show absolutely no mercy for this robotic construct. The longer the hero allows the badass constructor to exist, the more constructs the badass constructor will build. These include repair surveyors which will repair the armor of the constructor. Then shield surveyors (which will add to the shields of the constructor) will be added to the arsenal of the constructor. Next the constructor will construct badass loaders. The odds will become totally overwhelming for the hero the longer this fight continues.

The solution is simple. From just outside the wall of the inner bunker, the assassin hero should go into deception mode and disappear Next, mount the most powerful rocket launcher and launch as many missiles as possible at the badass constructor. If the hero runs out of rockets, then switch to corrosive weapons and attack the constructor head-on. If the hero does this fast enough, the badass constructor will be wiped out before it can produce more than three robots.

The alternative way is to go up the stairs and get near the constructor. Somewhere near the constructor (when facing the constructor) on the left will be a corridor where the hero can hide. Peer out of the wall in this area and then hit the constructor with sniper corrosive shots and shotgun attacks. The overhead rocket attacks of the constructor will be nullified by the roof. Continue attacking the badass constructor until it is defeated.

It's time to enter the bunker.
