Over 3.7 Billion Made

LEGO minifigs are highly collectible and sought after

The minifig, a small plastic figurine was invented and manufactured by the Danish Toy Group LEGO. Minifigs made their first appearance way back in 1978, and ever since they have been a huge success and were soon to be found in most Lego sets. 3.7 BILLION Minifigs made to date shows the huge demand for them.

Minifigs are adapted and licensed by a lot of companies looking for exposure of their brand in the world of Lego. There have been movies, books, video games, cartoons and many more media companies looking to adapt them to their products.

While Minifigs are found usually within sets, it`s also possible to find them as keychains and magnets making them even more collectible. They are very very customizable, and most parts and accessories are interchangeable with each other, resulting in a potentially unlimited world of custom figures.

Series 6 Lego Minifigs

Highly Collectible And Sought After

I have been collecting Lego Minifigures for about 5 years now and i must say the Series 6 figures are my favorite of all time. These little guys are the coolest ever, the Alien, Bandit, and Leprechaun are my favorites of the whole collection.

In total there are 16 to collect and they are available to buy now. Every year the Lego Group release a new Series for fans to collect. Over the years these figures have become quite popular due to their uniqueness and collectibility. There are even display cases available to buy to showcase your collection of minifigures and so in turn that has become a hobby for many people.

The only downside about collecting these minifig series is, you never know what you're going to get in the packet - as you see in the picture - and this is why they are so cheap. If you want a particular figure from any series then you can end up paying double, treble or more for your desired figure. Maybe some day there will be a Swapsy site for minfigs?

Until then, I've listed all the Series 6 figures one by one on a special Series 6 page, so you can choose just the one you want.

Custom Minifigs the easy way

While many customizers get into painting, sawing, glueing, and even molding their own parts, you can get started by simply mixing and matching the standard LEGO fig pieces to give a new result. For your first custom figure, how about making a figure of yourself? Your best friend? Sonmone in your family - or even your whole family!

If you need a specific piece to complete your custom fig, the best place to find it is at Bricklink

i made a scientist using a droid arm from star wars as the mini figures are by taking a light saber rode putting tape on it till it would fit in the are slot and then cut it. i also made an army guy with a guille suit made of brown string ripped apart and glued on. then i also made an assassins creed ezio character.

Haha awesome lens. I did something like this but with spray paint. I made an army of solid black dudes from a bunch of reeeally old sets (they were the shadow warriors). Then I took all cool guys with special faces and expressions from newer sets and made them the heroes. Good times :)
