What do you think guys, are the lesson one can learn upon playing online games?
Any online games will do.
How to be a good sport (if you should lose)
Teaches you the proper grammer
Teaches you speed
you also become a skilled typer and probable wasnt one before, only a one finger typer.and plus you meet so many new people all over the world
Self esteem and self efficiency come to mind, as well as an understanding of teamwork, even work in general seeing as some games are based on what is known as treadmilling - doing a constant or repetitive "chore" in order to reach a common goal.
Striving to survive and keep up with others one also tends to increase speed and accuracy related to both problem solving and physical motion/coordination, followed closely by the perseverance to maintain favorable attributes else they fall behind.
Should they fall behind, the test of not being the winner, considering the effort and patience they stressed to achieve nothing, allows them to recognize areas to improve themselves, self criticism as well as accepting defeat in a virtual manner.
I agree with teamwork especially when it comes to playing massively multiplayer online games (MMORPGs). Most of the newer games require you to work with others by forming a party or joining a guild in order to complete certain quests.
Thus, you will be forced to interact with people and make friends online. Therefore, teamwork and perhaps even friendship are important lessons/values one can learn from playing certain online games.
