   Go online. There are a number of online sites that you can play for free. They often offer tutorials. Obviously players who play for free online will much more freewheeling and sloppy than actual casino players but if you want to learn ,better to learn for free.Of course these site have a real money option as well. The games play the same in a brick and mortar world as online so for the sake of educating yourself a site like Pokerstars ,Fulltilt or Ultimate Bet is a good move.

   I agree that online is the best practice and the tutorials help as you play. But be aware there are different versions of poker and black jack so the one you may know may not be the one thats being played when you want to play with others.
   
   black jack, spanish 21 (has a bounus) etc
   Poker,  texas holem, five card stud

   if you live in a city that has a brick and mortar casino the casinos will typically have classes you can take. check out your nearest casino and find out when the offer these learning types of classes.
