What's the best 2 player game for Playstation 3?

What's the best 2+ player game for the Playstation 3? I'm talking about local or splitscreen games, not online co-op or something like that.
The Little big Planet series and Resident Evil 5 is my favourites I think

Depending on what game types you like factor in to what the best is. My favorite is the Little Big Planet series too. RE5 was pretty good and RE6 has gotten mixed results.

Yeah, I'm going to wait until the price drops for RE6, then I will consider buying it.

If your into wrestling games, WWE 13' is really fun. Lots of different matches, the create-a-player has a ton of options (as well as all the other "create-a-.....). Plus its easy to pick up and play.

Not a wrestling fan, it's not that big here in Sweden tongue
      But thanks for your suggestion!

In my opinion I really enjoyed playing borderlands on the ps3 with my cousin. I am not sure if borderlands 2 has split screen for ps3 like the previous borderlands did, but if it does it will more then likely be really good game as well.

Borderlands is a great suggestion, though my girlfriend (who I mostly play with) isn't that good with First person shooters, so it can get a bit tricky tongue

If she is having problems you should try to switch the controls I think its called invert or something like that. I personally do not understand why when I push left  they made it so it goes right instead. So I usually make sure its not inverted.

Well, for me, personally, I love the Gran Turismo 5. Oftentimes when I play with my family, it amuses us. A good laugh for all the family members. smile

I forgot about Gran Turismo! I played it as a kid and I loved it. Going to check it out, great suggestion, bet it's super fun to play splitscreen smile

Have to agree with the Little Big Planet series: they're great fun for any kind of gamer or even those new to gaming.

For the more hardcore gamer, I'd say Killzone 3 is loads of fun in co-op, but a little disappointed that you can't use two move controllers when you play it this way: unless they've patched this in since I played!

In reply to RichBest, I can imagine GT5 is loads of fun for the family! I remember playing racing games on the N64 with family and we always ended up going the wrong way around the circuit and having lots of laughs crashing into the AI and each other: we were never good enough to play the serious racing games... well... seriously! Lol smile. The only racing game I have on PS3 is WipeOut, searched for it after reading all the rave reviews: it was really hard to find, is apparently quite rare, but found it in a GameStation in a nearby town. It's soooo hard though, can imagine why people like it, must be a load of fun when you master it, none of my friends or I are any good at it tongue.

My girlfriend (that I play with) isn't that good with FPS, but I personally love a good FPS, I have played Killzone 2 and I found it really fun online. It's defiantly worth checking out, thanks smile

Before I played Borderlands, I was *horrible* at first-person shooters. Like, really bad. I was scared to give it a chance because my partner was so good at first-person games. We started up Borderlands together and he was patient, walked me through everything, didn't yell at me when I was aiming at the ground and spinning in a circle, didn't get frustrated when I kept asking stupid questions and, eventually, I got okay enough to not be a burden.

Maybe she just needs a bit of praise from her partner to fully realize her love of FPS. smile

I'm not sure if y'all like fighting games, but I think it's cool to play tag fighters where you work together... like Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

true, she's terrible at most games in the start, but she learns pretty fast, guess that could be the case for FPS to, And I try to be as patience as I can, but we all have a limit of how much aiming at the ground and running in circles we can handle

RAYMAN ORIGINS. It is so much better than little big planet. The Lego games are also fantastic.

Maybe also try gran turismo 5 if you're into very realistic car racing.

I agree Rayman origins is so much fun, we got it to.
Never tried the Lego games, are they for kids or what?

The Lego games are for everyone. Just a good fun game. Trekked and street igniter might be a good idea too.
