How can I stop myself from playing computer games?
I have tried going cold turkey but it just won't work! Please help!!
I don't know if your question is serious or not. But it really can be an addiction, like gambling, or anything else. Delete the games from your computer and get rid of all credit cards with which your purchase the games. If you have an Xbox, or Playstation, get rid of them too.
It will be hard for a little bit but you will bounce back. Like any addiction, it takes time to break free of it - and you may find that something else replaces it - so watch for that--such as compulsive eating, shopping, hoarding etc.
Uninstall the game and delete all the files in your PC about it like guides and screenshots. It's never easy but possible if you first find a good reason and source of inspiration.Good luck!
Turn the game console off and go outside, for cryin' out loud.
I recommend don't do anything like deleting games or getting rid of console. Allot some particular time of the day to gaming & try to stick to the plan.
There are no shortcuts. Delete the games & they'll come again. Sell the console & you'll buy again. Just normalize your attitude by making this time precious. There's nothing wrong in playing games in a normal way.
It's not easy, you can't go cold turkey on gaming, though you can switch to flash games cause flash games don't consume much time, check out games like GemCraft Labyrinth, Kingdom Rush, Fly (all flash), also check out prank games like scary maze game or shackey mcgee find it here - http://scarymazeworld.com/ . scary maze prank is awesome to scary the life out of your friends

My granddaughter tells me that I am not playing video games because I don't play them on a console attached to a TV. I told her that there were computer games first and that some console games were probably birthed on a computer anyway. She then tells me that this may be the case but still in her...
