What PS3 games would YOU recommend to someone new to the console?
I'm thinking of getting a Playstation 3 because I feel as though the XBOX 360 has reached the end of its capabilities, lifespan and anything new. I'm aware that cross-platform games have never been as popular as this current generation, but I'd still like to know what PS3 (exclusive if possible) games you'd recommend.
My preferences are platforming and sandbox games, but I'm willing to go the extra mile to try shooters, and puzzle games. What're your personal favourite or new user friendly PS3 games?
I'm still very new to the PS3 myself (mine isn't even a year old yet) but I've found a few gems. Uncharted is a good game if you're a fan of the tomb raider or prince of persia series. The shooting in the first game can get kind of clunky and repetitive, but it's a fun story with some good platforming sequences. I was also pleasantly surprised by Infamous. I describe it to people as grand theft auto with super powers. The story is kind of weak, but the freedom of the game play makes up for it. Leaping from rooftop to rooftop while shooting gang members with electric bolts is a blast. I've also heard good things about Little Big Planet, but I haven't had a chance to try that one out yet.
I can also recommend Infamous. It's really fun and a good quality game. I haven't played 2 or its DLC, Festival of Blood (i think thats right), but it looked similar.
Killzone is a pretty good series if you like shooters. I've only recently gotten hold of this series though.
I mainly have it for JRPGS and some good ones of it are Tales of Graces F, Eternal Sonata (expanded from 360 version) White Knight Chronicles, and a few more.
If you get one send me a friend request. My screen name should be the same as my Hubpage name
The Uncharted series is really the high point of PS3 exclusives. And if early reviews are anything to go by, the upcoming The Last of Us is supposedly phenomenal.
I'm an RPG guy myself though. Ni no Kuni was great.
Also, try Valkyria Chronicles.

Any good PS3 games to recommend for two players???Me and my friend are looking for a new game to play, we've both grown sick of all the CoD's, Battlefield 3, you name it. We're jus looking for a fun game that requires some skill but is also very fun at the same time.
