What shooters would you recommend for the Playstation 3?

Currently I have Uncharted, Killzone and Resistance, but what games would you recommend for a new PS3 gamer? I'd prefer a cutting-edge single player campaign that has huge replayability and has a good length (preferably over 12 hours), but feel free to list any for the console! Thanks in advance!

Ok if you're looking for a good shooter with lots of character, decent story and a hell of a lot of replayability I would go for Borderlands 2. Of course there's Call of Duty but that's really if you are keen for multiplayer as the main campaign is quite short.

Bioshock Infinite and Bioshock (original) are both worth a go as well if you haven't yet played them. Bioshock 2 is also an ok addition.

Vanquish is also a very high tempo fun game. Lacking on the story but makes up for it in awesome gameplay and uniqueness.

You will definitely need Battlefield 3 if you are a multiplayer fps type guy. It has the best overall multiplayer experience out there and i already have spent 700 hours in that game. Now if you are the singleplayer guy you should probably choose Call of Duty because it has a very action-packed singleplayer

You already have the titles I was going to list...

Since it doesn't really meet most of the requirements you listed, I was a little hesitant to mention the game called Starhawk. PS3 exclusive released in 2012.
A mix between 3rd person Shooter, transforming mech suits, and base building/defending.

Mainly a multiplayer experience. The story mode can be finished in around 4 hours, and is more of a tutorial/warm up for multiplayer. Couldn't tell you how active the Starhawk community is.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare trilogy is excellent, especially the first two.  Also the two Black Ops games.  The Army of Two games is also fun, as is Battlefield: Bad Company, Dead Space, Rage, and Singularity.  If you're also feeling a little nostalgic the remake of Wolfenstein is also quite fun.

I kinda recommend Modern Warfare 3. Black Ops 2 has good replay value as well, due to multiple endings and choices. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is another good one, it has a great single player campaign, and feels like an arcade game. Mirror's Edge, while not really a shooter, is recommended for new and old PS3 gamers. Especially since they announced the sequel at E3. The Last of Us comes out the 14, from the makers of Uncharted, so that is one to look out for.  Borderlands 1 & 2 and Far Cry 3 are good, especially if you love shooters. They both would take over 12 hours, and are cutting edge.
