How come some toys are supposed to be educational and you dont learn anything from it.
If the toy says educational they better learn some thing. And toy companies wonder why they dont make money.
It's not exactly about learning something new, it's about stimulating different parts of the brain. Toys are usually colourful or have different textures and make different sounds.
Each stimulate the senses and help the brain with development.
With my sceptical Marketing head on, it's just another way to convince you a product is worth buying giving it traits that aren't quite clear cut. Anything can technically be educational, it just depends what you do with it. A simple ball can help with motor functions, balance, hand-to-eye co-ordination...
If it's colourful it's meant to stimulate a young mind. I would take anything written or the package/mentioned on a tv ad with a pinch of salt...ultimately get them something they enjoy playing with - any child learns more when they're playing/using something that makes them feel good it could be argued.
