Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider is just one of the the Ninjago Lego Series which continues to be a remarkably very popular series that initially was launched in 2011. Ninjago a totally different and separate inspiration to that of the older Lego Ninja Sets. The Ninjago universe is centered primarily around the 4 trained Ninjas; Zane, Kai, Cole and Jay in the battles of good and evil. Many of the villains which these ninjas encounter happen to be evil Stone Army, Skeleton Army and of course the Serpentines.

The Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider 9449 came out in May of 2012.

It is the first set that includes all four of the ninjas, Zane, Kai, Jay, and Cole all together. It is also the only set that includes Pythor. This Ninjago set also includes Spitta and the Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu. Jay and Zane are shown holding their weapons in the mean time the Scythe of Quakes and the Sword of Fire are connected to the ultra sonic vehicle. One thing we found out while building the ultra sonic raider is that Phthor doesn't actually fit in the cage jail at the back of the vehicle because of his tail. So I guess that means the jail is meant for Spitta.

If you don't know yet,the Lego Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider is actually a large tank that is white and is piloted by two ninjas. The tank can transform into a specialized aircraft mode. The ultra sonic raider set also includes numerous stickers which can be placed on the sides of the raider vehicle. You'll find two golden dragon symbols of earth, fire, lighting and ice, that can be placed nearest to the cockpit. The tank has two black treads in the front that look like they could trample a Serpentine! In the rear is a large black wheel. Alongside each each of the treads you'll find a large, gold flick-fire missile.

In addition to this you will find a row sai daggers connected to both sides of the front of the large white tank, totaling 14 golden sai daggers.

The four Golden Weapons can be connected to the front of the raider vehicle alongside the under-most part of the cockpit. Unlike the tv show, this cockpit is only able to fit one ninja instead of two.

Awesome Reviews for The Lego Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider 9449

Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider Flying Part of the Vehicle

This part of the vehicle is meant to come off leaving one cockpit below and one attached to the upper half. Again unlike the tv show where two ninjas can be placed, only one ninja can be placed in this cockpit. There are also two more golden dragon symbols that can be placed on either side of the second cockpit.

Now we can't forget about the mini jail, that is a small cage that can be found at the back of the vehicle and is meant to hold captured snakes. In the middle of the vehicle are two flame pieces that fit into the two chrome black Spinijitzu crown pieces and can also be used for the Ninjago spinners game. Located on each side of the flying part are two adjustable speaker cannons and there are three large golden blades on each side of the raider.

Which Lego Set Would You Say is More Popular and Why?

Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider is Pretty Cool!

Now to sum up, according to my grandson the Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider is pretty darn cool. He said the instructions were really easy to follow providing you pay attention to them. He also said, not only is the tank cool but the best part is that the second cockpit transforms into a jet and the addition of minifigure Pythor and the fang blade was pretty awesome as well. I have to say that my grandson gave it a 10/10 and this is from someone who is totally obsessed with Lego.
