Dance as a form of exercise and the science behind it

Dance is a wonderful form of indoor and outdoor exercise. It relieves your body from day to day stress and heals the entire system from inside-out, thus making you more calm and joyful. The moment you start dancing, your body starts releasing hormones called Endorphins (endogenous morphine) that function as neurotransmitters and you experience endorphin rush which refers to the feeling of exhilaration brought on by various movements of dance.

Endorphins are produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates during exercise and various other activities and they have the ability to produce analgesia and a feeling of well-being and goodness.

Happy Dancing

Dance as the most beneficial form of workout

When you join a gym for your regular cardio workouts, you end up suffering from boredom, no matter how important it is for healthy living. Now, dance is such a form of movement where it is all fun and joy. You can either do it alone or in a gang, you can either join a dance studio or you can just swirl around in your personal space. The fitness from dance is also called as ‘beat-based’ fitness. If you dance continuously for just half an hour, you can shed off over 400 calories, which is quite wonderful. Dance is not only for physical health, the movements are highly beneficial for mental health as well. Moreover, the rhythmic movement to music is always a superior form of relaxation. Dance not only releases and frees our bones, muscles and joints, but also raises our spirits to the highest order. As a result of regular dancing sessions, people can get rid of various kinds of diseases and could lead their way to all-round fitness.

So, just jive up and jump into the world of goodness of mind, body and soul!
