Don't Stop Believing - Positive Energy Attracts Good Things

It is very interesting to see and analyse things that happen to us. As I mentioned on my article "Self Motivation. How to be Strong and Enjoy Life" it is up to each one of us to analyze the signs and to see the world. It is easy to make a good thing look bad or a bad thing to look good.

Today I thought I would tell you about an experience I had a couple of years ago regarding with believing and its power.

I used to play in a project where the main name was an actress very well known in Portugal. She was always telling me about how strong the energy we have reflects in our life. It was really interesting. I might write more about this in the future.

One evening we were rehearsing in her house and after rehearsing me and the other musicians were suppose to go back to the Hotel where we were staying. This was right in the middle of Lisbon. Just the thought of having to park each of our three cars next to the Hotel was painful. But we couldn't walk from her house to the Hotel so we had to take the cars and then go back.

I mentioned to her at the end of rehearsal: "Now I have to find a place to park the car next to the Hotel, that might take ages". Her answer was: "If you think like that you are sending negative thoughts out and that way you won't find a place. Why don't you just honestly believe that there will be a place right next to the Hotel when you arrive?"

Usually people just ignores this kind of ideas and laughs. But that night I turned to her and said: "You know what? I WILL have a place when I arrive. It will be really easy." For some reason I did mean what I said...I really believed I would find an easy place to park the car. The other two guys smiled. (thinking that there was no chance, they know how busy it is in there)
On our way to the Hotel I was the second car. One colleague of mine was in the front and another behind my car. For an instance I though; "If there would be a car space in front of the hotel he will take it". But straight away I thought that it wouldn't happen, there would be a place for me in there. I didn't know how...but I believed I would.

Just going up the main road and having to turn right to a small street where the Hotel was, I was surprised to see my colleague on the front car keep going in front and not turning to the Hotel. He missed the turn. I though; "That is it, he forgot to turn and there will be one spot for my car in front of the Hotel".

The moment arrived, I just got in front of the Hotel, I was amazed to find that there really was a place right in front of the door for one car, my car. A place that my colleague (the one that didn't believe) didn't get because he forgot to turn into the Hotel street. There I was, easily parking in front of the Hotel, while my other two colleagues had to go around a couple of times and walk back to the Hotel in the rain. I was amazed on how powerful the positive energy can be.

This is a little insignificant example that to me proved that it is worth believing and being positive about things. I always use this approach for everything in life...I can't complain at all...I don't always get a spot in front of the place I want but I'm happy with my life.

Don't underestimate the value of positive thinking. I do believe that most of our "Luck" is made by ourselves. If we think positive, we look for positive things and by looking for positive things we attract positive energies and all the good around us. Even more than just attracting it, we value it, for as little as it might be.
