I share my experiences, my emotions and believe in myself. I am positive, confident and love life.

Causes of Depression

Around the world people are depressed.

What causes depression?

Why have you fallen into depression?

Some people are affected by depression through family history, while others are depressed through their daily lifestyles.

Couples are depressed from their bad relationships.

The poor salaries earned put a dent in their personal lives. Drug abuse becomes part of their daily routine.

Depression affects those who do not sleep well, have a lack of appetite, and have less control over what is happening around them. This causes a malfunction in one side of the brain. They are not able to cope with their simple lifestyles.

Any illness can lead to depression and make you feel the worst at any time in your life. Certain medications prescribed can cause depression.

More and more people are taking their own lives due to depression. It is sad for one to feel alone and not to feel worthy enough which leads to self-criticism.

These people think negatively and are the worst of any situation. They make it worse and fail to make anything feel better than it is.

Depressed people are vulnerable and cruel to their selves.

It is a sad life and life to a depressed person doesn’t mean much. Everything that was once enjoyed is no longer the same.

Pleasures no longer exist. They feel nothing matters and nothing can be right again. Depressed people do not see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It is difficult to point out if someone is depressed. The person gains weight or loses weight. Their lack of focus is one of the common signs of Depression.

Croatia has at least two hundred thousand people under depression with a population of four million and seventy-six thousand.

I found this a shocking estimate!

People are depressed for many reasons and this is no joke. A mental illness that needs immediate attention.

People don’t feel happy and try to fake it. This type of illness is not cured, and nothing can make you better unless you change the way you think about your life.

You are never getting better unless you smile and mean it when you are happy. Reduce suicidal thoughts by understanding your depression. Treat your symptoms with antidepressants.

Most treatments won’t work the same for everyone. It is important to reduce the symptoms of depression by doing what you love and being hopeful in life.

Create a life of happiness and look forward to something new each day. It depends on the stage of depression you are in to snap out of it.

Some may have major depression and that is a problem for the individual to get out of that phase. When you are in a major depression state it would be frustrating for the depressed person to listen to the one trying to help.

It is not a walk in the park to constantly be with the depressed person to seek help or to advise this person. From your side, it sounds like a good idea but for the depressed person it can be a nightmare to change from that to what they once were.

Avoid trying to shed light on your depressed child’s mind. Focus on what you need to do that is best for your depressed child or friend.

What can you do to fight depression?

  • There are many ideas to have a fun day.
  • Listen to your kind of music for an hour each day.
  • Start your day with a smile and a positive mind.
  • Fill your day with fun activities and do different everyday activities.

What are the facts of Depression?

  • Most women are more affected by depression than men are.
  • It is treatable and can affect you from a young age.
  • Most people recover from depression.
  • Medications prescribed for depression help in a four-week recovery treatment.
  • Depression after childbirth for some mothers affects their children as well.
  • This disrupts the development and growth of the child.
  • As you get older depression becomes part of your daily routine.
  • Focus on healthy eating, stay fit and eat in moderation.
  • You shouldn’t make medication part of your diet.
  • Do what makes you feel happy and avoid hasty decisions.
  • Change your scenery and go away for a couple of days, you will be amazed at how good you will feel after a weekend getaway.
  • You lack memory of certain events and most of what you do makes you feel angry, sad, frustrated and worthless.

For example:

A thirty-year-old woman has a low income and hopes for a better life in a new country. Her situation is not positive due to the poor living conditions, and the negative people she surrounds herself with.

Instead of living the life of her dreams, she has a boyfriend who is on drugs and is dangerous to innocent passersby.

He fights and yells at people on the street. It is these bad relationships that allow for depression and negativity in such communities.

People’s lives change overnight or over the years and it is difficult to cope with the habits they have formed. You can be an alcoholic, someone with a drug addiction, Bipolar, or a gambler.

Everything you are becomes your worst nightmare when you have lost hope in your adult life.

There is nothing or no one to help you feel better and you lose yourself in this bad situation. Depression takes over lives and you lose your strength at your worst moments.

Health problems can push you over the edge but when depressed and you look at life as a dark place this outlook on life makes you that depressed person.

Overall, changes in one’s life can cause you to feel depressed or to feel great about life.
