How To Be Addicted To Life Instead Of Alcohol

Updated on August 12, 2013

How much do you love life? Do you love life enough to stop an addiction to alcohol to save yourself and those in your life? Do you want to know how to be addicted to life instead of alcohol?

As we all know, we all have only one life to live, and for many of us that have an addiction to alcohol, this addiction just may cut our lives short.

When someone has such a addiction to alcohol they tend not to even think of their life as it was before the demons took over. They sometimes think that their life is worth nothing and that is so untrue for the fact that each person alive is worth more than any words can say.

It is so sad that people think of their life being nothing, and alcohol makes them think of themselves as a better person. They get more confidence in themselves while drinking and think nothing of their life while sober because of such low self esteem and the lack of being positive. They look at their life as just being here on earth, existing, but not living.

Live Life Not Just Exsist

Life is such a precious thing, and so many of us don't realize just how great we can have a life that you would be so appreciated of. Sometimes people think that having loads of money and expensive material things makes their life wonderful, and that maybe very true, but there is that factor of having good health to be able to enjoy those fine things in life.

Those that are addicted to alcohol will have their health decline by drinking and abusing alcohol. They really don't think of the consequences while they are abusing alcohol and their bodies each and everyday of their life.

The question I needed to ask myself and now I am asking you is, "do you know what your addiction is doing to you?"

I bet you don't really realize the harm you are doing to your body. I for one, never thought about that either. I was just content living my life with a buzz and looking forward to my next drink as so many alcoholics do.

If you want a real buzz and get the high of all highs, you must stop drinking and abusing alcohol and get high on life itself. It may seem to an alcoholic not to be very fun or plain old boring. After all, we all have a great time being drunk don't we?

When I think of all the years I wasted being drunk and messed up it makes me sick at my stomach. If only I could turn back the hands of time, knowing what I know now, things would be so different. I would be addicted to life instead of being addicted to my addiction to alcohol. When your demons grab hold of you they will not let go to give you a normal, happy and healthy life.

The thing we need to think of is how your life would be living it clean and sober and then go after your sobriety and never stop until you achieve it. Life is too short to ruin it with an avoidable addiction.

All of us that have an addiction to alcohol or even drugs must start thinking with a positive attitude and living life to the fullest each and everyday we are here on Earth.

There Are so Many Things We Can Do Being Sober

When I say there are so many things we can do being sober means, none of us need alcohol to enjoy life.

Just imagine walking on the beach and taking in the beautiful sites of the waves crashing on the surf with a crystal blue sky and the sea gulls flying overhead making that unforgettable and distinct sound. You are now in paradise and if you were drunk do you really think you would appreciate this as you would be completely sober?

I bet you wouldn't, although you may think you would. There is nothing in the world like sobriety and to able to walk and think with a clear and sober mind.

Is I said before, life is so precious and many of us, and especially those with an addiction take all for granted or maybe just don't care. I hate to talk like this, but really, when I was addicted to alcohol for all those years my main concern was my next drink and when I could have that next drink. Many of us live our life for alcohol and forget about what really means the most to each and everyone of us, and that is Life itself.

So, get out of your addiction to alcohol and start a new addiction to your life. This addiction will never hurt anyone, and I might say, your life will be saved by you alone if you were to stop drinking and Abusing the one thing that will kill you in the end.

My Life Is Great Now and I Am Living Life As It Should Be Lived - Sober !
