How to Use Meditation to Ease Labor Pains? it is easy and simple to do meditation during labor and it is proven effective. Labor pains can easily be manageable through meditation and many women who gave birth attested to this fact. I for one, use this,it was a breathing technique taught to me by friend and I followed it and applied when I gave birth. Other yoga and meditation practitioners says that it helps a lot to attend classes so that it will help you with the proper and more precise way of meditation so that when you are going to give birth, you will feel at ease and have confidence.

You can also perform meditation technique on your own and all you need to do is practice it until you get the drift of it. All women are designed to give birth, -- and their strength and endurance for pain is remarkable but then seeing them during labor want us to help them and on one way this hubs purpose is to share the beauty of meditation to ease labor pains.

I will also discuss breathing technique as a way to ease labor pain. It goes with the videos. The combination of these two technique, meditation and breathing technique is the best.

Meditation is a type of holistic medicine by which a person attempts to get beyond the reflexive, "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. it has been proven that it is useful in mitigating the pains when a woman is in labor.

When when a woman is in labor, meditation helps them to relax, shift to pain to focus to a more joyful state of mind and male them forget the pain and ease it through concentrating and relaxing.

Practice this so that when you give birth you can clam yourself and should be ready for the labor pains :

  • Find a place to sit down and try to close your eyes to relax. Be comfortable.
  • The place should be without noise
  • Concentrate by thinking of an object or a happy moment then you can dwell on concentrate on it. Don't concentrate on being angry or avoid unhappy thoughts
  • it might help if you can use some aromatherapy like a lavender or jasmine or a potpourris of your favorite scent or smell and close your eyes gently
  • it is also suggested to use music which you like a calming music which you can play while meditating
  • Try to try this technique until you can concentrate
  • You can also hold on to a favorite thing of yours, in this video it said her favorite is a rock, well, you might want to hold on to a book which you like, anything, cuddly stuff toy or a picture

  • Another technique -- the breathing technique to help ease the pain during labor is relatively easy, just follow the video here and practice it while you are pregnant so that when the time comes that you are going to give birth you can use the technique.
  • Believe me, if you practice and follow this by heart, the labor pains will be ease and you will be relax knowing that you can relieve the labor pains and you are going to ease labor pains.
  • You can actually combine this with meditation technique above and you will get the best results.

I use this when I give birth to may last baby and it helped me a lot.

Don't be frustrated when you can do these at first time including meditation all you need is practice.

      Great hub! Breathing techniques really helped me when I was in labor. If not for them, I don't know how I would have managed.

      This hub really presents this topic in a way that sounds realistic and achievable. I had such a long, intense labor with my first daughter that I decided to go straight for the epidural during my second two births.

      I'm I'm brave enough to go for #4, a hub like this actually makes me pause and think, "I could do that!"

      Excellent advice! Very real and down to earth. Many people promise a lot and deliver poor advice, but you've done a great job explaining the processes (and benefits) of meditation here! It really does take a "zen of mind" to focus (without focus) on meditating. I still have yet to master it...

      I don't believe it, it's not even 60 days yet for the pregnancy & it is delivery time already.....hahaha.

      Again I must mention that pregnancy is in my distance past when it was without benefits then of these practices being taught. I simply used them naturally and had easy deliveries both times. I enjoyed the
