My Recipe For A Great Day

My Recipe For A Great Day

I found that cooking a great meal is not the only task that requires a recipe. I found that that a great day also requires the perfect recipe. I would like to share my recipe for a great day.

My recipe starts with choice. You must choose to be happy and have a great day. When I wake up I choose to have a great day. I choose to make my day great. I do things like listen to music that makes me happy. I pray for a great day and pray to be a shining light. I pray that I light up every room that I walk into and that I can be a blessing to others each and every day.

The next ingredient is attitude. Our attitude can make or break our day. If you approach your day with the wrong attitude your day will not be a great one. You must look at each day as a blessing. I wake up and thank God for a new day. I look at each day as an opportunity to learn, grow, and become better than the day before. I choose to use each day to improve myself. I look at my job as a learning and growth experience. We must look at each day as a gift.

Focus is also very important. What we choose to focus on makes a difference. I have learned that what I focus on magnifies and grows. If I focus on what is wrong or lacking in my life that is what expands and eventually all I can see. However, if I focus on my blessings that is what grows and my life gets happier and brighter as a result. As a result, I focus on my blessings each day and thank God for them. When I am having a challenging day I take time out to count my blessings and many times this has turned a bad day into a good one. If we choose to focus on what is right and good in our lives this can create a great day or at least improve a bad one. You can never go wrong by focusing on and counting your blessings. Make it a point to thank God for your blessings each and every day.

A good example of this is not focusing on what goes wrong. We can choose to let go and move on or focus on the bad. For example, one morning I spilled my coffee everywhere while I was getting ready for work. I had a choice to focus on it and let it set the tone for my day or I could choose to let go and move on.

If I chose to focus on it the rest of my day would be ruined. However, since I chose to let it go and focus on having a great day I was not affected by it. Instead of focusing on what went wrong I chose to make my day great by listening to music that I enjoyed and focusing on the sunshine and lovely weather instead. I went through the rest of my day with a song in my heart and a smile on my face. As a result of my healthy choice I had a great day!

Choose to see the best in every person and every situation. You find what you are looking for. If you look for fault you will find fault. There is good and bad in all people and all situations. If you pick everyone apart you will find flaws and will not have healthy relationships. On the other hand if you choose to see the beauty in everyone you meet you will find it. You will also find harmony as a result.

Choose to enjoy the company of your peers and coworkers. If you look for the beauty and enjoy others company your day will be one of peace, love, and harmony. Your overall quality of life will improve as well. This can make for a great day!

You must choose acceptance. If you hate your job and you hate going to work you will be miserable. If you cannot do what you love for a living currently accept what is necessary now and find the good in it. What you resist persists. You will suffer greatly is you keep resisting things that you cannot change. I have found that acceptance brings peace. I have further discovered that bad situations would last much longer if I resisted and fought them instead of accepting and learning from them. Resisting prolongs suffering and delays resolutions. Acceptance is the way to go. I now choose to accept what I cannot change and find the silver lining in the situation.

Love is another necessary ingredient for a great day. I have discovered that when you do things with love they turn out so much better. For example when I do not feel well and cook out of necessity many times I burn it or it just does not turn out right. On the other hand when I cook with love my meals turn out so delicious and make me so proud and happy!

As a result of this, I am learning to approach each task I meet in my day with love in my heart. I also approach my peers and co-workers with love! I notice that when I do this my day flows beautifully and it is amazing! When you send out love it has the boomerang effect and returns to you multiplied! So make sure you live with love! Always move throughout your day with love in your heart and soul! You can never have enough love!

Faith is another necessary ingredient for a great day! You must go about your day in faith. You cannot take on the day with fear. Fear attracts more to fear. If you walk in faith you attract positive outcomes throughout your day. However if you go about day in fear and walk on eggshells you will bring about negative consequences. Faith brings comfort and comfort creates a great day!

If you believe that you are safe, secure, and protected then you will be. Faith is the way to live. Faith can move mountains. Whatever you believe you can achieve.

So wake up each and every morning and make a choice to have a great day! Choose the right attitude. Live with love and walk in faith. Accept what is and learn and grow from it! Focus on all of the many blessings! Use this recipe wisely and have a great day!
