Genna, what a great question! I discovered Hafiz yesterday, so today I would pull out his book of poetry and read a poem filled with light and joy. They are so uplifting.
I also do yoga, when stressed. It helps pull myself back into myself- gives me relief from what is stressing me as it releases negative endorphins (or whatever they are called.)
My last tactic to handle stress is to walk Finnegan in the Hundred Acre Wood near our home. The act of moving through a beautiful landscape helps put my stresses into perspective. What am I, compared to mountain tops and endless skies?
A glass of red Zinfandel in the evening helps, too, haha!
