Happiness cannot be bought.  It is a choice, a behaviorial pattern, an effect of the mind.  I think wealth is more avoided than sadness.  We are not all wealthy, but we can experience sadness probably more times a week than we experience wealth.

I think that i would be alot happier being alot more wealthy. I wouldn't have to worry about bills, plus i could afford to take loads more holidays each year! That would cheer me up no end smile

Happiness is a matter of the mind.  However, in certain circumstances, money does buy happiness and stave off sadness.   Of course, sadness could be avoided more easily with wealth because money often provides the gauze to soothe certain types of ennui.   Studies show that wealthier people are much happier than poor people because poor people are preoccupied with the daily struggle for bare survival and ekeing out a living while the wealthy are beyond this.

I have been rich and I have been poor I have been happy and un happy durring both of theese times I beleave true happiness comes from a thankfull heart and a soul that is at peace I dont think you can buy happiness sure buying something new may bring you happiness for a little while but in the end its you who brings you happiness money is just a piece of papper sure you need it to survive but it buys only matterial things and ya that may make you happy for a while but eventualy that happiness runs out and where dose that leave you in my opinon true happiness comes from you and a healthy mind set not a large bank acount a nice car ect. but it comes form with in its something you have to maintain on a daily bases by being happy with you are and by being thankfull for what you have

I do not believe that happiness can be bought. I know many wealthy people that are completely miserable.

I guess if you're wealthy you could buy certain things that might distract you for a while from whatever you are sad about, but ultimately you still have to deal with the sadness.
