Would you rather live for 10 years in excellent health, or 30 in “average” health?
Would you rather live for 10 years in excellent health, or 30 in “average” health, assuming that period started on your 18th birthday?
Average health would be okay with me because of the hope that I could get myself into good health.
I would say the 30 years of average health. A longer life and surviving moderately. A longer time to enjoy myself.
I would rather live 30 years in average health. It would give me more time with my family and health care would change a lot in 30 years.
That is a very interesting question. I guess part of it would depend on what "average" health is. As someone who has had cancer, and almost died from it, and had to turn to a strict nutritional regimen to survive, I've experienced the gamut. (I wrote a book about my experience, more info in my profile).
Though I have much better health since then (11 years ago), I do still suffer from chronic lower back issues and bronchitis (get it once or twice a year).
Finally, I'd have to say, that although I do not fear death (because of my Christian faith), I would rather live 30 years in average health.
Hmmm, good question. So long as I'm not a burden on my family and friends I would like to live as long as possible. So probably go with the 30 in average health.
I would go with "average" health, which is what the average person has anyway. Furthermore, I think life is always worth living, so if I can live 30 more years, I'd say why not?
I go for 10 years of excellent health.
Then settling down with 30 years of average health.
That way, I would have enjoyed the best part of life doing what that are necessary before returning to average health.
So it will definitely be 10 years good health first and then I will see if I can fall back to average health thereafter.
With 10 years of excellent health will be the period of time to take good care so that I can prolong the good health status.
First of all I would like to choose the finest 10 years and then claim for the next 30s. If it isn't possible then the first 10 years is okay. Its a saying there ' Instead of living 100 year for a fox life, I'll live for 10 years like a lion'.
Well, I believe that most of us livein "average" health alll of our adult lives. We all have some sort of illness or other. Whether it be mental or physical. With the obesity rate for teens and young adults they are starting out at 18 with average health and the foods that are consumed is another factor,
Being one with usually borderline health, I'd opt for at least 10 years of excellent health, then go to 30 years of average health. Either way would be better than how I generally am, lol.
That's a good question. At first I thought I would opt for the 10 years of perfect health, but then I believe that there could be remedies found within the 30 years that could improve my health to excellent and improve my life also.
There's always hope so I'm sticking with the 30 years.
average health would be good for me. i'm pretty healthy as far as i know but it isn't one of those things i worry about.

Is it pointless to go back to college for 10 years at 30 yrs old? It's been a crazy year for me with a lot of really weird events. Plus with me turning 30 this year I started looking at my life. I always wanted a degree in Archaeology or Anthropology but never got it. I am now seriously considering...
