Cut out all processed foods - eat only whole natural foods.
Full-body exercises and a healthy diet by healthy i mean balanced do not avoid carbs or fats! an example of healthy fats would be olive oil.
If you're trying to lose weight, exercise is a great option, but keep an eye on your heart rate. There is an appropriate heart rate range where your body burns fat more effectively. There are many heart rate calculators on the net, here's one:

Some things that have helped me are not eating really late, i try not to eat anything after 8 pm ( I used to be a midnight snacker), reduce your portions and eat smaller meals, and I've recently started a Zumba exercise class. If you start an exercise class try to find something you think is fun and get some friends to go along. Best of luck to you : )
Losing weight is most effective when you combine healthy eating with moderate exercise. So, I agree with PattiAnn that cutting back on processed foods is a good move. Add more fruits and vegetables. Eat whole grains rather than refined. But, most of all, plan out your meals and when you are going to exercise. You hit your target when you know what you're aiming for:)
Eat you largest meal at breakfast, then lunch and smallest for dinner. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.Try to eat dinner by 6pm. Weigh yourself every day, so if you get off track you'll know why. If you haven't started an exercise program already I would wait until you get to your ideal weight first, then up the calorie intake to maintain that weight, then start your exercise program. Most people stop exercising in the 1st 90 days, that coupled with dieting more than doubles your failure rate odds!
My belief is Diet + Exercise = Failure Consult your Doctor!
Exercise once ideal weight has been reached can help maintain that weight.
I help people everyday to lose weight, here are the tips I will share with you that will be affective for anyone struggling with this battle. The battle is against yourself most of the time. Throw out the word diet and do that following things. #1 Try to keep your calories between 1400-1600 and your carbs between 40-60 carbs per day for 3 months and to include 20 minutes of any cardio exercise you enjoy every single day. Drink 3 liters of water with a squeeze of lemon in each bottle and if to really be affective be sure to add the following items to your diet... Almonds, walnuts, yogurt, apples, turkey, fish, cottage cheese, salad, pickles and cheese one more thing for sure add unsweetened green and white tea from trader joes. Do that and see where your at. Hope to hear from you then. Lanea
