A person with confidence has more power. What kind of power? They believe in themselves. If you believe in yourself, you can get more accomplished than if you don’t. Confidence can be compared to watering a plant. If you water the plant, it will grow, if you don’t water the plant, it will wither.

If you are a confident person, you will get more dates, be happier, become less self-aware, less self-absorbent, get more promotions at work, gain real friends, etc.

You can see that having confidence is something you should have in your life. No matter whom you are, or what you went through, you can achieve a level of confidence that will help you in your life.

stop thinking negative

First you should stop thinking negative. It was said once,” Only so far as a man believes strongly, mightily, can he act cheerfully, or do anything worth doing.”- Robertson Frederick, W. This quote, and others like it are true.

You need to make your way of thinking become more positive. You can do this by being more aware of what you are thinking. If you start to say something to yourself like, “I can’t…. Stop the thought in its process and replace it with a positive thought.  You can replace it with, “I can make it happen.”

Confidence is not something that will happen to you over night. However, if you do this over a period of time, you will start believing in yourself, and become more productive, and happy.

use this technique with anything

You can use this technique with anything that applies to you. You can use it with your looks too. For example, if you have something that you feel self-conscious about (most people do), such as your nose for example, say something to yourself like: “I am beautiful/handsome.” Every time you start thinking about it. What you are going to do is subconsciously changing your own posture, and believe it or not, body language, and other things about yourself. When you change your thoughts, you are changing yourself. Change is something that has to come from within, and it is something that takes time to do.

Your thoughts are the beginning of your actions

Be patient. Your thoughts are the beginning of your actions. Thoughts are something that you should not take for granted. Embrace them, make them grow, and make them positive.

Tell yourself something positive, and watch your confidence grow with every thought.

Do not be hard on yourself if you do not get a promotion, a date or whatever else right away.

One of the biggest steps to self-confidence is realizing you are a human with flaws, just as everyone else is. You need to learn not to worry about your flaws.

speaking of confidence, and not cockiness

If you happened to get bumped down once or twice, realize that it happens to everyone. Some people will let their confidence shrink when they get bumped down, others will keep moving, with a positive outlook, because they realize it’s just a part of like. After all, we are speaking of confidence, and not cockiness.

you can achieve confidence

If you get bumped down, pick yourself back up, and try again. Do you realize the number of famous writers, musicians, actors, and alike have been knocked down? I would guesstimate over half of the best have been. Why did the best ones survive? They had the confidence to keep going. If you keep going after your pitfalls, and you keep thinking positive, good things are bound to happen to you.

I will say it one more time, confidence is not something that will happen to you over night. Confidence is something that is going to take time, and patience to achieve, if it is something you are lacking.

Tell yourself positive things every day, and you are improving yourself from the inside out. When you improve your confidence, it WILL start showing on the outside. You will also start feeling it on the inside.

No matter whom you are, or what you went through, you can achieve confidence. You can improve the quality of your life, relationships, and happiness. Don’t change it from the outside, start from the inside.

Work with yourself, because you deserve it.

I wrote this with confidence that it will help someone, somewhere improve the quality of their life with confidence.
