    I'm wondering if you mean, "chiggers", which are a kind of mite?  If that's what you mean then, apparently, they're known for not being able to spread from host to host (the way scabies does).

    If, by any chance, it isn't "chiggers" you really mean, please overlook my assuming you may have meant something other than "jiggers".  (I thought there was the chance that English may be a second language for you.) I just thought if that were the case, you'd never find the information you want because of incorrect spelling.  (No, I've never seen them, fortunately.)

    No, Lisa HW. I meant jigger flea aka chigoe flea which is a parasitic arthropod.
