no, by doing exercises you do not get your weight reduced, rather your body gets toned up and the energy well absorbed, provided you do balanced and within your limit what ever u do.

For vegetarian diet, Whey protein is the best. It is completely natural and is the most effective one.

You need to do weight lifting if you want to increase your weight. Don't even bother with yoga or cardio. Start lifting weights. Join a gym and start lifting weights.

Many gyms are under the misconception that people need to work out every day to see results. The truth is if you work out every day you won't see good results, especially if you want to increase weight. So go to the gym only 3-4 times a week and make sure you rest at least 3 days in a week. Give your muscles time to recover. It is during this recovery time that you will gain weight and muscles.

Eat a lot of protein and make sure you drink enough water so that you can digest the protein. Make sure all your meals have all the necessary nutrients namely carbohydrates, protein and fat. If it doesn't have enough proteins, take a whey protein shake.

I will suggest you take Whey protein at least 2-3 times a day. And start going to a gym. You will start seeing improvement very quickly. And when you are lifting weights, make sure you lift to your full capacity. Lift as heavy weights as you can and try to increase the weights every time.

First you must seek a physicians opinion, for any other problem, like intestinal worms etc. Then contact a dietitian,he/she will make a diet chart or you.Otherwise I heard that banana eating with milk is helpful to gain weight.

    Eat lots, and lots!

If you are lacto-ovo vegetarian you can try to eat lots of eggs (especially the white of the egg) and get some whey powder for extra protein.

Also tofu and setien (i'm not sure i spelled that right) are excellent for vegetarians, having high protein and unsaturated fat content.

If you can get a nice soy + linseed bread this is also helpful as it will have protein, carbs and fibre. I like to make french toast with 4x eggs and 4x slices of soy + linseed bread for a quick easy and tasty 1000 calorie "snack" between meals. ;o)

Potato, rice, pasta, and so forth are also excellent for carbs. Ideally though you would want to be putting on mostly muscle and not so much fat, so don't over do it with high carbohydrate meals in the evening, go for more protein and fibre (legumes for example) in the evening.

As you'll be eating a lot more make sure to do some training so that the extra calories go to muscle and not fat.

More exercise does not always mean you will lose weight. If you want to gain, you should do a total body workout using your body as resistance. Muscle gain will happen if you eat properly and take in protein. There are several shakes like Muscle Milk that will give you the calories and protein you need.
