Would you get a bariatric surgery in another country to save $$? Is saving $ with a gastric bypass?
Would you take the chance or just pay a little more to get the weight loss surgery in US.
starvation is a lousy unhealthy way to loose weight and has poor long-term succes rates.
consider instead a fasting program that lasts about 4 months eating only protein shakes to get a break away from food. relearn your food habits when restarting to eat and include a daily exercise program.
exercise is the key to a healthy weight, not starvation.
Gastric Banding has been done in other countries legally YEARS prior to the US approving it in 2002. A family member actually had it done in Mexico a few years ago because of the cost savings. He said it was like being treated as a King in a 4 Star hotel. He is a flight attendant so the trip was free. That said, I will mention there ARE US options with comparable "cash" prices. My mom had it done in Denver Colorado for the same price as the family member who flew to Mexico.
