will it be ok if i breastfeed the baby if the (rps) still going on?
By the way this is my second child he is a boy. I am due in November. See I had the (rps) with my first son. But did not know if I could breastfeed still.
It is totally safe to breastfeed if it is in fact rps. If the bleeding gets worse or does not go away you may have an intraductal papilloma. An intraductal papilloma is a tiny wart-like growth in breast tissue that sometimes punctures a duct. These benign tumors are composed of fibrous tissue and blood vessels. Intraductal papillomas grow inside your breast's milk ducts, and can cause benign nipple discharge. They are not anything to worry about and you can still nurse. I would call up your local lactation consultant or the La Leche league now to discuss it. They can ease any worries you may have about it and help with nursing if needed! Sorry it took so long to get back to you!
