    is consumption of glass powder fatal?

    is it completely fatal?? or are their any chances of survival?

    Assuming the power is pure glass, no. Glass is crystalline silica which is not digested or absorbed in a body. If the powder is rough, it is possible to cause abrasive damage as it passes through the body, which in turn could possibly cause a fatality or internal bleeding. If the powder is smooth, this isn't likely to happen. I'd call a doctor for specific medical advise on this.

    I agree with drbillfannin, if the glass powder is rough it can definitely cause silicosis which is a serious and potentially fatal lung condition. What ever the case, make sure that you are using a respirator or mask when you are around anything that uses glass enamels or glass particles that way you know that you are safe from what ever condition can be developed as a result of maximum exposure to this type of hazardous environment. hope that drbillfannin and myself have been able to help you.
