Do you have to have a menstrual cycle to ovulate?
I was on the depo shot and have been off for over 9 months, but i still havent started a menstrual cycle. I am trying to have a baby but i wanted to know if me not having a cycle is going to get in the way of that?
I would check with your doctor because within 9 months, I think you should have seen your cycle return. Also, have you taken a home pregnancy test? You can ovulate before having a period when your fertility is returning after pregnancy, and I would imagine the same would be true for situations such as your where the mentrual cycle is artificially suppressed.
You might check out my hubs on Birth Control and Natural family Planning. Couples can reliable space and avoid pregnancy using NFP and NFP can even help you acheive pregnancy, without the harmfful side effects of chemical contraception.
Good luck to you and God bless!
