Hi Jovy, my son has acquired the rotavirus too. Has your daughter been cured already?
What medications did she take for the Rotavirus to go away? Was she dehydrated? My son has had the rotavirus for 5 days now. And I think he's becoming dehydrated since he doesn't perspire anymore, he used to sweat a lot. It also seems that his skin is becoming dry. any suggestions?
Yes my daughter is cured already. She had the virus for 2 weeks. If your son seems to be dehydrated, you should take him to the doctor right away. My daughter was given motilium (for 7 days, because she was vomiting) and an antibiotic which she took for 2 weeks. For rehydration, just encourage your son to drink juices and water. Her pedia prescribed pedialyte but my doctor preferred glucolyte and gatorade.
Hope this helps. Hope your son gets well soon.
